So how many copies of star wars trilogy do you have ? That includes VHS, SE ,cinema version and so on .

Do you still have the trilogy on VHS ?

General G
Yes I do, and it still works well.

Alliance
I have the OT and TPM on VHS, and then the Saga on DVD.

queeq
OT: original theatrical AND the SE on VHS
OT: DVD Box + DVD's including the theatrical release
PT: TPM and AOTC on VHS
PT: TPM, AOTC and ROTS on DVD

ragesRemorse
I own the original individual star wars vhs releases

The box set star wars on vhs

The sepecial edition star wars box set vhs

the three prequals on dvd

The family box set of the original trilogy on dvd

The special edition of the original trilogy box set on dvd

And the three individual, untouched original trilogy on dvd

Goeroge lucas may be a whore, but i am his trick

queeq
He has many tricks.

General G
And yet we still buy.

Alliance
*points and laughs* Last time I bought was in 04.

General G
You don't have any recent editions?

Alliance
Just the OT DVDs from 04

General G
The special editions? They came out with the original theatrical versions on DVD recently, quite good.

Alliance
Waste of money.

General G
They won't deteriorate like the VHS copies.

Alliance
I have the 04 Box set versions on DVD already.

coolmovies
You can add the saga box set too

General G
Is that out?

Alliance
All in good time...all in good time.

Count Makashi
Jesus, how much money does GL need and why?

Alliance
If you could...why wouldn't you?

General G
What can you do with all that money though?

Alliance
I'd start with a kickass suit of Clone and Mandalorian armor.

General G
Of course. But that wouldn't cost multiple millions of dollars.

Silent Dreams
I have IV,V,VI in a silver DvD box set.

General G
I think I have that one.

Alliance
I do. Best...box...ever.

General G
Until they come out with the saga box set.

Alliance
Unlikely. That will be excruciatingly hard to top.

Count Makashi
Lucas must be stooped.

coolmovies
Next stop OT HD

Alliance
nah....we have yet to see an edited PT.

General G
That may be a while.

Alliance
Not really, in the ROTS special fetures they already replaced demonic puppet Yoda with the ROTS digital model. I'd be surprised if thy didn't replace him in AOTC too.

I'm sure there will be other cuts and inserted scenes...like the Padme's parents house scene on AOTCand the formation of the rebellion scenes in ROTS.

General G
Which all could have been fixed or added in if they took their time.

Alliance
Yes, but it hasn't been released on DVD yet.

General G
If it makes the movie better, then I am all for it, otherwise, it will be pretty worthless.

Alliance
I really want to see an edited PT. I think Lucas can easily improve the SAGA.

General G
He can improve it, he just needs to take more time with it. Maybe add some actual clone wars scenes.

queeq
THe PT will not be edited.

Alliance
Then explain the redo of the TPM Yoda speech with the ROTS model?

queeq
That's hardly a re-edit is it? It's just replacing, like replacing light sabre blades. There already is a digital Yoda in TPM... and the puppet didn't look as good as the OT version anyway.

Alliance
WHERE. (is the digital Yoda in TPM).

And yes, its better than the puppet. Both relatively and absolutely.

coolmovies
They have to change yoda in TPM

General G
I thought he looked pretty creepy in TPM...

queeq
Me too...

The digital Yoda is in the wider shots at the end, the scene where Yoda tells OB1 he can teach Anakin. All the walking shots are a digital Yoda, precursor to the digital Yoda in AOTC.

They did some test shooting in TPM for AOTC, like the digital scene of QGJ taking blood from Anakin.

coolmovies
Anyway i dont have any copys of star wars never did never will

queeq
What do you do in this forum then?

Count Makashi
Annoy us.

coolmovies
I do know the story very well thats why am on this fourm .

queeq
Ah...

coolmovies
You guys still use a vcr ??

mossman
I've got...
The widescreen VHS versions from circa 1993.
The Special Edition OT VHS Box Set (silver widescreen one).
The PT DVDs.
The OT DVD Box Set.
The OT DVD separates with bonus O-OT discs.
Various homebrew DVDs of the various OT laserdisc releases.
And a VHS of ANH with the mono soundtrack, which I have put onto DVD myself.
Oh, and ANH on laserdisc (first release on that format, I think) which I picked up from a second hand shop, but haven't got anything to play it on.

queeq
laughing out loud

Nice collectors' item then.

General G
I would say so.

queeq
Cool.

General G
Very cool. cool
