Ryu Hayabusa vs Orochi

Snafu the Great
Ryu Hayabusa is no stranger when it comes to eliminating demons (his greatest victory up to date was his victory over Jashin, the God of Destruction).

However, he has a new problem on his hands. Orochi is running amok in Japan and the Mugen Tenshin clan have been crippled by devastating losses.

Even more so, Kyo Kusanagi, Iori Yagami and Chizuru Kagura have been reported missing.

'No rest for the ninja,' Ryu replies as he dons his uniform. Grabbing his Dragon Sword, he heads for Orochi's current location: Osaka...or what is left of it.

Upon arriving in Osaka, he finds the city deserted, due to the massive evacuation days earlier. The place is a mess as if Godzilla had trashed it twice over.

At least Orochi isn't too hard to find....much rather, Orochi finds the Hayabusa ninja.

Orochi thinks that with Kusanagi out of the picture, he is unstoppable. But then again, there's the green-eyed ninja with the sword in his hand.

Violent2Dope
Hayabusa. If he took down the Vigoor Emperor he can take Orochi.

Emperor Ashtar
Right off the bat he loses, but if he's allowed to use the same plot devices in Ninja Gaiden and build up streangth than why not.

shin_remy
Orochi wins, he can only be hurt by the ''flame''

LMAO!

Doku should have burned Hayabusa's body after he won. The fiends should know by now that you NEVER want to fight Hayabusa twice.

Violent2Dope
Hayabusa wins because of his ultimate PIS blade.

Agreed.

Violent2Dope
Could Ryu of beaten the VE without it?

Xenogears
No, but neither could Cloud have put up a fight against Sephiroth without his weapon, neither would Squall have put up a fight against Seifer without his, so these weapons are not "plot devices" in that they are weapons that are used in just about any situation against enemies and such. It's sensible to say that items or weapons that have been used just once for a reason are "plot devices", so that would mean things like Pandora's box are plot devices.

Violent2Dope
Well, let me put it this way, Cloud might of had a chance with a different sword, and Squall could do it with a different gunblade, whereas the TDS is pretty much the only weapon that he could've used against the VE.

Xenogears
*Sigh* That's because there was no other weapon to use with comparable power. I still don't see how it's a plot device if it's the weapon he starts off with in the game.

Violent2Dope
I really don't want to argue on whether or not the TDS is a plot device.

Emperor Ashtar
TDS is a plot device, he's performance radically changed once he gained it. He went from stalemating Alma without the blade to owning everyone once he gained the blade.

Xenogears
Eh...the True Dragon Sword may be a plot device, but the Dragon Sword surely is not.

Dragon Sword is fine, to be honest Hayabusa should have been able to beat Alma with the Dragon Sword since he was able to beat Doku with it.

Xenogears
The True Dragon Sword is just the Dragon Sword without the gem. How does the gem make it a plot device?

Because the eye made him own everyone, and clearly changed the Blade's power in an unknown way.
