Have you ever read a comic, and then realized that the writer made a huge mistake in it? Completely going against what was established?

Here's the thread where you can post all the mistakes you've encountered in the comics you've read. smile

Example: The Grey Gargoyle turns people into stone with his "RIGHT" hand.

Then in the same book, GG uses his left hand to petrify Spider-man.

GGS
Can't post scans at the minute but Year Two Batman and one Batman comic where he went to Japan was pretty glaring in going against the whole Batman not using guns and revealing his identity.

Yep. Definitely a mistake on the writer's part.

I'm pretty sure he can use either hand ... his right hand was the one which was altered originally but he soon learned to use that to transform his whole body, after that he can use either hand (and possibly other body parts) to turn people to stone.

Point is, the writer established that he uses his right hand to petrify people, and then completely f*cks up. smile

Besides, it's never (I'm pretty sure) been established that in his stone-like form, he can use any part of his body to turn other things into stone.

This is chalked up to artistic error. wink The writer wouldn't intentionally contradict himself like that.
