I did some community service today...

... in a home for the elderly. And I have to say, every cliché is true.

They poop their pants?

They call you son all the time or refer to you as their child when in fact you are not their child?

They have war flashbacks and act like they are in a B-52 Bomber. At the same time calling you out on your sexuality and pointing out all of your faults and why people don't like you?

Indeed. They also kept repeating that I was a handsome boy and how these days' kids are so tall.

That, and they fall asleep all the time. Also, when I was reading the papers for them, this one guy kept refilling my cup with coffee.

Do they wear their pants up to their nerps?

It's looks like you're running around in a Resident Evil Game?

Yeah....old people are old, ugly, scary, and decrepit and ought to be dead.

No. My job was to entertain them and to serve their dry-freezed dinners.

Cool.

But not really cool.

But cool that you didn't have to clean any "stuff" up.

Yep. I'm never trusting my sister on things like this again. She said it would make me feel better about myself, instead it made me feel dirty and used.

When I was delivery guy the nurses at the Nursing home always ordered and I would have to go deep into old people territory to get the money. I hated delivering there.

Those places freak me out too. Then randomly, out of the blue, one of them will talk to you. You don't want to be a dick about it, so you politely talk to them, but you can never get them to shut up. 😐

I know. Like, when I was reading the papers to them, this one woman kept commenting on everything I read. She even talked for hours about how Roger Federer won Wimbledon for the fifth consecutive time yesterday.

One time this old guy started telling me how great of an actor John Wayne was and how he idolized him.
