If given the choice between Peace or Wisdom...what would you choose?

For the purpose of discussion let's say:
Peace: Everything and anything you come in contact with...it's peaceful. Happy things and universal love.
Wisdom: Everything and anything you come in contact with...it's known to you. You can deduct and nearly predict what will happen. You practically have Universal Cosmic Consciousness.
What do you choose and why?

Wisdom. For wisdom leads to peace.

Wisdom. For wisdom leads to peace.
What he said.

...however: I'm wondering if the choices are meant to be mutually exclusive. If that's the case...
Wisdom. For wisdom enables one to better deal with whatever's going on. Also, a constant diet of "peaceful. Happy things and universal love"? Sounds almost boring, if not stagnant (reminds me of an old Star Trek plot device). How well would a movie like that do at the box office?
As for all that wisdom being boring? IMO, wisdom does not necessarily preclude conflict. I would imagine that wisdom allows one to approach conflict from the best angle (hell, the wise may know that conflict is as much a part of life as is love), so that one could learn the most from it and grow wiser.

short version: wisdom

I don't know.
Wisdom could lead to fear and suffering.

Did you take shrooms before coming up with this question?
Tangible God
Either choice would result in a tremendously boring life. But for the sake of which one is least boring: Peace.

I disagree. I think that would be true about wisdom if you could always see everything that is going to happen anywhere. But we're just talking about being able to almost predict what you are coming in contact with. You still wouldn't know everything unless you could peice together everything in the universe.
And wisdom also gives the knowledge of whether peace is even right in certain situations.

And wisdom also gives the knowledge of whether peace is even right in certain situations. If I suddenly knew everything about what I come in contact with, the challenges of life, the mystery or wonder behind everything would be lost. At least peace still has that. There's no war or conflict, but there's still stuff to learn.

The world is deaf from the voice of one individual most of the time anyway

I would choose peace

ummm, wouldn't peace be just as predictable as knowing what is coming?
being at peace with everything would be as tedious as being omniscent.

Definitely wisdom.
If there is always peace, there is no reason to be upset about something and if you cannot be upset and everything seems happy and full of universal love you will end up quite unhappy.
As there is no happiness without unhappiness and without ups and downs.
Wisdom is full of life and coming to a conclusion results in calmness and happiness that cannot be substituted by a constant peaceful feeling.

After I read WD's post, I was going to write Wisdom. Because to know everything, it would just be amazing.
But as I scrolled down, I read a couple of the posts and one particularly caught my eye. It was Tangible God's post.
He said that with wisdom, there would be know mystery. And it's very true. What's the point of living if you know what is going to happen before it does?
So, I choose Peace.
Grand_Moff_Gav
I'll take Peace...
The man who knows peace doesnt need wisdom.
The Wiseman will spend his whole life chasing peace.
Goddess Kali
Peace
The point to Wisdom is Peace, I beleive. If I can acquire peace, without having to acquire the wisdom prior, I'd just take the unconditional peace.
I'd rather live in a Universe where everything is Peace, Love, and Tranquility, and have contact with all of it, then live in a Universe where there is suffering and be totally aware of it all.
The Black Ghost
I think it is better not to know everything, or else we wouldnt be having this discussion. Peace sounds peaceful, I could use some of it.
debbiejo
I vote wisdom. Wisdom leads to peace. A wiseman knows how to obtain peace. A peaceful man may not be wise enough to keep his peace.

But everyone around you unfortunately does not share that judgement, although on a one-person level this would be true.
The fact that peace would have to be attained though might be worth something for the good of the people though, i dont know.
Grand_Moff_Gav
I dont see how wisedom leads to peace, a wiseman would know that there are always things he didnt know and would spend his whole life in search of answers.
