I don't really consider the Blade or Underworld series. They are more action movies than anything...not really scary. Same with Van Helsing and Queen of the Damned.
These are my favorite vamp movies, in a traditional sense.
Fright Night
Salem's Lot
Lost Boys
Interview with the Vampire
Healing Artisan

I am very happy to see that "Fright Night" is getting the respect it deserves.
Nosada
I don't much care for vampires, especially on film, but here:
(in no particular order)
Nosferatu
Lost Boys
Dracula: Dead and Loving It
Bordello of Blood
John Carpenter's Vampires
From Dusk Till Dawn
Droopy
Fright Night
Interview with vampire
lost boys
blade
from dusk till dawn

I didn't care much for Queen of the Damned. I just couldn't picture Stuart Townsend as Lestat. The book was one of my least favorites of all the Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice. I would love to see The Tale of the Body Thief as a movie!!!! I loved Interview With the Vampire. Although I don't care too much for vampire pics, this one I love. I also liked The Lost Boys, which seemed to be mostly comedy.
Wolfie
Underworld
From Dusk Till Dawn
Bram Stoker's Dracula
The Lost Boys

Interview with the Vampire.
Blade
Fright Night
SelphieT
Interview with the Vampire and Fright Night
Impediment
I forgot to add From Dusk 'till Dawn.
Also, it isn't technically a vampire film, but Vampire's Kiss, starring Nicolas Cage, is a very demented vampire-themed movie. If you haven't seen it, I recommend you watch it soon.
Rampant ox
Any movie where Christopher Lee played Dracula is superb. Mr Lee is Count Dracula.
Nordicdusk
Lost Boys
Bram Stokers
Any Christopher Lee and Bela Lugosi
Comicbook_kid
Just wanted to say that both "Underworld" movies, "Blade trinity", and "Queen of the Damned" are the absolute shittiest vampire movies ever to be put on film and aren't worth wiping the dingleberries out my arse with....
However, if you want to watch great vampire movies, check these out...
Fright Night
Lost Boys
Near Dark
Nosferatu
Salem's Lot (original)
From Dusk Till Dawn
Bram Stoker's Dracula
Subspecies I, II, III, IV
Vampire Journals
Vamp
Any of the Hammer Christopher Lee films
And although not great, "The Forsaken" and "Dracula 2000" are pretty decent too...recommended.
kevdude
Underworld 1
Underworld 2
Bram Stokers Dracula
Interview of the Vampire
Blade 2
Blade 3

Interview with the Vampire is one of my favorite 'Vampire movies', but i agree with half you said! Tom Cruise didn't really make a convincing Vampire, according to me. But Brad...Well he was physically, everything a Vampire looks like...IMO!

Dark Shadows - Barnabas Collins is awesome!
MightyCelestial
5. Fright Night - The vampire dynamics are handled in manner that is reasonably logistical enough for the average suspension of belief that required for films like this. And I've always enjoyed those localized TV horror shows that are usually hosted by some campy "ghoul-like" character.
4. Nosferatu - Still by far, the creepiest looking vampire ever.
3. Blade - Even though I have his movie ranked at #3, as a vampire character, Blade definitely rates as #1.
For any vampires out there reading this, I don't care what your position is in the bloodsuckers' hierarchy, Blade would still kick all yo' asses.
ALL yo' asses.
2. Dracula - I don't care what any of you might think of the old Count, he's the O.G. bloodsucker, suckas. If it weren't for him, Count Chocula cereal would just be called Choclate Flavored Cereal Wit' Chocolate Flavored Marshmellows In It.
So pay 'em his due propers.
Suckas.
1. Lost Boys - Okay, let's just forget the vampires in this movie for a second.....
Any movie that can feature a Corey in it, let alone two, & still come off as cool,
well, that would be a movie that surely had to have been touched by the hand of God.
I wouldn't be surprised if the director, Joel Schumacher was actually the Christ in his Second Coming ( I mean seriously.... Jesus did rise from the dead after 3 days, often spoke of drinking his blood, & simple logic would dictate that he would have developed an aversion to wooden crosses....
so, y'know.... it all fits....)
