OK so we know that Superman and WW have possibly one of the most powerful beings ever in comics as a child from one of the 52 universes. Even tho technically the current Superman and WW are the parents. I dont' know how the hell that works. Anyway, In countdown, they eluded that Superman and WW were gonna have some issues with a child?

They also had a kid in one of the else worlds who from what I can remember was a Tk user. At least as a baby. Can't remember the book I read it in tho.

So does anyone have any other info on this?

Basically,

It's what links ALL of the various DC titles.

Entity
Didn't they have a daughter named Lara after Kal's mother that was raised on Paradise Island as an Amazonian in The Dark Night Strikes Back?

Lois is gonna be pissed! mad

Those scans only show Hypertime itself...

The exact power Superman and WW's child had over Hypertime was never shown.

Yeah, but it was stated that he had power over hypertime, wasn't it?

But again,

We don't really know the extent of those powers, as they were never displayed. sad

Hypertime is over complicated bullshit , give me a multiverse any day.

Actually, he said they'd be "dealing with parent issues". With Hippolyta's recent actions in Amazon's Attack, I'd assume that means something will happen with one of the Kents...Jonathan if I had to guess, simply because he's been killed off in various other media. I don't think Superman would be upset if they had a kid, lol...but then again, he's been crying over everything lately so maybe.

Martian_mind
Or maybe lois gets knocked up,clark is elated, then one of his rogues attack her causing a miscarriage...and he seeks solace in the arms of WW.

So Hypertime isn't a Multiverse but is more like the POTENTIAL for a multiverse.

No actual physical words but more like possible paths taken.

Well f*ck.

Why dont they just call it a multiverse and be done with it !

Why dont they just call it a multiverse and be done with it ! Because I guess Hypertime is a better name to call something that links all of DC's branched titles...

ie. Hypertime is what makes titles such as Elseworlds, DCAU, All-Star, Tangent, etc. all part of the "greater whole"..... Instead of completely separate entities, as they were before Hypertime was introduced.

And fyi,

More then one Multiverse makes up Hypertime these days.

wasn't the concept of Hyperteam retconned? I could easily be wrong, and it would be a neglible point anyways, seeing as how their is a multiverse again anyways.

-.-

He was called the keeper of the divergent timelines though.
Fairly similar.
Especailly in the point of Hypertime still being acknowledged, however small.

Yeah it was a very brief mentioning, but still enough for us to conclusively say that H-Time has not been retconned.

Juntai
Part of the difference I notice, is that what Marvel calls a Multiverse, DC calls alternate timelines. DC's single universe, had infinite timelines. . DC how has 52 "Universes". Which by my estimation, would equivelent to Marvel's Megaverses, since a single one has infinite timelines equivelent to universes.
I believe in 52, Rip Hunter said we'd soon see the birth of the Megaverse in DC. Which would be something even greater.

Hyper time works in the same way as the many worlds work in quantum mechanics (If you know anything about that). Basically an new universe emerges for every two way choice ever postulated by a person.

This is when the statement,

"Events of importance often cause divergent tributaries, to branch off the main timestream."

Comes into play. smile
