Damn, had to make another MGS thread.

Takes place in the Arsenal Gear from MGS2, where Raiden and Snake fought their way to a door (to where they fought more guards, then Fortune).

I don't know much about FOX...so what little info I have about them I looked it up on wikipedia. Not that reliable, I know, but it's still better than nothing.

Null if Grey Fox right? And he is an emotion less killing machine?

I don't know...how did the fight with Null go? Did Big Boss curbstomp/stalemate him? Because I think The Boss wins it for The Cobra unit.

The Boss is the first to die and quite easily by the hands of Null. The weakest member of the Cobras with no real superhuman abilities. Atl leas tht eFury got an amped flamethrower and a jetpack as well as a fire-resistant suit.

gene is pretty much like the boss with knives, super speed(the boss did this too but not as often) and a special voice that can hypnotize soldiers. he's got even better reflexes than null, and was able to defeat ursala(whos somewhat like mantis) easily.

as for null. he ended up being beaten by big boss but not killed and put into his care because he didn't agree with what they did to him.

cunningham's probably the weak link of fox. i can see the pain, fear and fury taking him rather easily.

Big Boss and Null had a very tough battle, the first was a stalemate, the second one Big Boss took home. But it was not a walk in the park, Campbell even said that Big Boss "can't handle a full frontal assault from "the perfect soldier", use the terrain to your advantage".

Also, Gene is said to be "the successor" of The Boss. He says himself that he knew pretty much everything she did, he is based of her when he was "created" as he speaks of. He is like her except a "wizard with knifes" and super speed WAY above hers. Not as awesome h2h though I would believe.




And haven't we discussed Big Boss vs The Boss before? Thought you guys were all for BB defeating her fair and square.
Well, as I found out, if you wait 10 minutes without killing her, the planes will come and fire their missiles so both of you die. (This one is also called an "alternative ending" from what I've heard)
Surley if her plan was to let Big Boss take her down easily, she wouldn't wait for the planes to kill them both.

Then again, it is clear that she was going to die at his hands. Maybe she didn't have a choice.
Well I don't know, but honestly, by PO, BB is better for sure. He kicks super powerful people's asses all around there, like Null "the perfect soldier", Gene "the successor of the Boss" and Python "the anti-Snake".

Snake beeat Boss fair and square. She'd be out of character to take it easy on the guy.

Couldn't Cunningham just Nuke them all for teh win ?

Actually, yeah, but not for the win. He'd die himself, so no one would really win, everyone would just die.

Though if Gene could super run out of reach, or if Urzula could fly away, then maybe they would win.

Volgin kills them all.

Sorry Prime. Well, I don't know a whole lot about Fox, so I'll post Cobra's strengths.

Pain: Controls hornets that he employs in battles, allow him to teleport, and can hide a Tommy gun in them somehow. He has Queen Hornets he keeps in his stomach that can burrow into their victims. He is also the largest Cobra member which helps him H2H.

Fear: He is triple jointed on every joint in his body. this allows him to climb and run quickly similar to a spider. He has two crossbows, the larger one fires bolts slowly but powerful enough to knock enemies off their feet and the smaller when fires rapid bolts. He has normal bolts, poison ones, and ones that explode. He has a suit that makes him almost invisible to the naked eye. He can use his superhuman flexibility with great effect H2H.

The End: Is a legendary Sniper that can absorb sunlight to give him stamina and great running speed as close range is not his forte. Before escaping he uses a flash bomb to blind oponents. His camo grants him his photosynthetic capabilities and lets him hide in forested areas, unfortunately since the thread creator made the fight take place in Arsenal Gear his camo is useless. Thanks.

Fury: Wears a space suit, has two flamethrowers and a jetpack, what more can be said?

Sorrow: Is a medium that can talk to the dead to find out the positions of enemies, also if someone on Fox dies he can summon their ghost and use their abilities.

Boss: Is a CQC master which is a H2H form she and Naked Snake created that can allow her to take even massively physically superior people like Volgin(in a straight up fight he'd win, had to get that out) down in one move. She uses a knife and a Patriot Gun which fires rapid volleys of bullets that have no ammo limit.

I always liked how Volgin feared The Boss.

BTW...nutgrab for the win! dur She took him down and he was uninjured, I see no way that Boss, a normal human with a powerful gun and great skills, would beat Volgin, a giant who has a constant charge of 10,000,000 volts running through his body who can punch holes through something a f*ckin RPG couldn't blemish. Though Raikov is the most powerful character in MGS history, never has someone had a nutgrab of that power.

She did not mean to injure him. She only incapacitated him before he could shoot Snake. It's simple really. He was impressed with her and imediately asked her wtf she did.

Seriously back on topic change the place of battle, in Arsenal Gear The End would be useless.

Well the place is pretty long and with many different levels, so he'll be able to sniper. However, his jungle advantages are gone.

But for the heck of it, let's place another battle in the jungle. I just put Arsenal Gear because that is neutral ground with no impact on either, but it seems like FOX wins that one anyway.

Gene. Was a "creation" of the "successor project", and was based on The Boss as a soldier, but enhanced kinda.
He has super speed, and an incredible one, easily one of the fastest people in the MGS series. For example, when a lunatic stole MG RAXA, and fired the two vulcan canons at Gene, it didn't look like he even moved, he just stood there and all the shots missed.
He was also able to kill someone although his mind was read thanks to his incredible speed. As he said himself, "you may be able to read my mind, but you cannot keep up with my body", and then swiftly kills his opponent in one move. (I'm not stating who for spoiling reason, if you wanna know check the video.)
He is also a very skilled knife tosser, he can toss up to 10 knifes at once very fast.
I think there's some relation between Gene and Vamp, they are similair in so many ways, like knifes, super speed, etc. Oh well...


Python. Called the anti-Snake, Snake's old buddy btw. He was trained to take him down after they went seperate ways. He was near death at one time, and his body almost stopped working completley, but they sustained him, so his body temperature is super hot, thus he keeps on a suit at all time. It has some liquid in it, which makes it super cold. When the same lunatic who shot at Gene in MG fires from an assault rifle at Python, the bullets just freeze and drop down without injuring him at all. He's a good shot to.

Urzula. Like psycho Mantis, she is one of the most powerful psychics in the world. For example able to fly, read minds, push and lift things with a thought.


Null. Called "the perfect soldier", he is a super trained young boy. He can move awefully fast (though not as fast as Gene as one cut scene in the game shows, Gene beats his ass up), he's able to kill a whole bunch of soldiers standing around him firing, because he's so fast they can't aim at him.
He wields a very strong knife, with which he can parry bullets easily, and uses some sort of SMG with extreme precision. (If you gain him as a soldier, he has an "S" rank with such weapons, which is the highest possible in the game).


Cunningham. He's FOX's interrogation and torture expert (wonder who'd win in a torture duel between him and Ocelot ).
He might not be that big a deal normally, which is why I gave him his flying machine. (Or more like a chair. It kinda looks like an upgraded version of the flying machines in Snake Eater that the enemy has, only MUCH better.)
It is equipped with a rocket launcher, a laser and a minigun, as well as having a Davy Crocket (The Soviet's version of it) missile in case he'd lose. He's very hard to hit up there, and is durable and got tough armour.

From what you said Cunningham is the weakest link, and if it's only a chair he's be easy pickings for The End, the others sound powerful tho, and I can't really make a decision since I never played the game. A friend of mine told me it was good, so I'll get it eventually.

EDIT: And Volgin is the king of torture fool!

Well it's not just a chair, it's a flying chair (lol). He's behind some metal things, so he's barley in range of shooting. You'd have to aim very carefully, or shoot him at the side, and even then he'd probably not go down fast. He also has very heavy weaponry. Also forgot he can toss grenades and mines out of there.


Volgin's just a psycho who can hit hard. Ocelot exploits weakness.

When Volgin get a nickname like Shalashaska for his torturing expertise, I'll consider him. Volgin's torturing was unknown to anyone but him and a few others, the sick bastard put a guy in a steel barrel and shot thunderbolts at him which scorched his body and lit him aflame.

Which killed him.... Not very good to get information.

Well yeah, he's good, but I don't think he specialises in torture, he's just so physically fit that he can and sadistic that he can make a painful torture.
Like, he's to mentally unstable I think. If he was to be assigned to torture someone to get info, he would end up killing him because it was fun and pleasured him.
Without EVA, Snake would most likely have died there, she told them it was enough and the subject changed from Snake to her for a while.


Off topic, I think it's very strong that Snake didn't break once during the torture, even when he was about to lose his eyes.
