This is the true face of Megatron and, imo, the face they should've used in the '07 movie. Or at least some resemblance of it..

Actually there is a resemblance, as soon as I saw Megatron in the trailer I knew it was him.

Ok that looks like G1 Megatron, but that's clearly not Megatron from the movie. The Megatron from the movie looks kinda like Yoshimitshu from Tekken more than anything.

They actually do look quite a bit alike as far as the head goes, on the outerpart it's very similar.

He's a Cybertronian Commander, who in the U.S. never looked like Optimus, but in Japan lot's of characters took the Convoy look. Ultra Magnus, Black Convoy(Scourge) and...well that's it, but you get the idea.

He definitely looks like that because he was a white prime toy clone with a different trailer.

For those not yet knowing the origins, I think it was something like this...

It was originally the next incarnation of "Convoy"("Convoy" being the Japanese 'Diaclone' line's name for the toy of Prime) that was going to be known as something like 'super battle Convoy'.


Hasbro bought the rights to the mold and made it a completely different character from Prime altogether as they introduced it into their line.. Could they have been thinking of re-incarnating Prime like Galvatron, as Ultra Magnus at some point...?

So "Magnus" (The white prime) is the cab part, which on the toy was made from the same mold as Prime. It combines with the trailer to become the "Ultra Magnus" we all know by sight normally.
The idea would have been like a powermaster Prime, but 2 years or so before powermasters.

And the 1st pic put up of him earlier, is Magnus actually mid way through bailing out of the armour- something fans had be waiting a long time for. It was the first time in TF history more or less. And it was recent Dreamwave loveliness.

Something like that, yeah.

ultra magnus should be voiced by sam jackson.lol...

"do you like my white paint?!?! where the f*ck is mah trailer?!?! mmm-mmm b!tches!!!"

Yeah, and when they're having a shoot out someone should yell:

"Come on old paint!"

Hey, now that you mention it, Samuel L. Jackson'd would've made an excellent Jazz, imo.

(If the sense of: 'Hey! Thats SLJ, not Jazz' wasn't a factor...)

Somewhat ironically, I think Hugo Weaving would've been a great Ultra Magnus, now that Robert Stack is no longer with us...

it would be a trip to hear jules from pulp fiction voiced over a transformers cartoon... do they have that on youtube?

i think ian mckellen has a decent voice for an ultra magnus...
