Nikkolas
Advent Children Cloud.

Takes on the maniacal Kasady.

Who wins?

BillyG
What the f**k?

cloud.

Apolloknight
Cloud.

He's a better fighter, smarter, faster and probably just as agile.

Carnage is probably stronger, but that is moot after he gets cleaved in half by a 6ft long sword.

Nikkolas
What makes you think he'll be able to carve through the symbiote?

Superboy Prime
Carnage wins it 10/10.

For starters Cloud has never fought anything or anyone like Carnage before. I doubt Cloud's swords will do enough damage to put Carnage down. Carnage has precog, is faster then Spider-Man(I think) and is a murderous psychopath to boot. It only takes 1 or 3 blows for Carnage to **** Cloud up. Cloud will need more than that to put the nasty symbiote down for good.

TricksterPriest
Doesn't Carnage hate fire? confused And doesn't Cloud have fire materia?

Nikkolas
Not in AC.

Why do so many people fall back on game mechanics?

Superboy Prime
Because it's the easiest way to argue for FF chars.

I hate discussing FF materia/magic systems because of it's many possibilities and the fact it wastes a lot of energy. If you want an example of why discussing gameplay-indepth is bad visit a Cloud with all Materia vs Link with all Magic and equipment. It's a nightmare.

IMO it's very annoying and time consuming.

Hannibal-Lector
Cloud is portrayed pretty inconsistantly, hes fast enough to block bullets but not dodge a kick which im assuming is going at a far less speed... it cant really be said based on Advent Children because the ultimate purpose of the movie was to entertain FF7 fans, not supply evidence for a storyline or bio's of characters

It can be stated either way really.... Carnage should be techniqually faster, but cloud has shown he was able to stay in league with a teleporter and some guy whos techniqually faster than bullets as well... As far as strength hes been able to survive multiple stab wounds and many strikes but somehow is knocked out in 1 vibration through his sword from Kadaj... As a ff7 fan, id say Cloud if he uses his peak preformance strength and speed. if not Carnage

Superboy Prime
I can agree with that Hannibal.

IMO gameplay attacks etc. should be not be taken 100% for granted.

I mean the best example for that would be how Safer Sephiroth destroys the entire solar system with his Super Nova. Impressive move, and it's one of gaming's most memorable moments, but it's tricky because then you will argue that Cloud and company can actually survive a Super Nova. Know what I mean?

Comics are the same way however, you have guys like cap and wolverine who can perceive bullets and what not, yet get hit by punches and kicks from other street levelers, yet I highly doubt these guys can punch at Mach 1-2+.

Don't look to much into the bullet dodging feat, realistically, no one below spiderman level speed and agility should even have a chance at dodging bullets (especially after they have been fired). But its comics/anime/cartoons, let it go.

Superboy Prime
All I say is materia and items like that shouldbe kept out of debates/tiers(not only for FF) unless they're actually shown using them in cutscene or anything.

Bahamut was used in the movie

Yeah. No problem with that.

But what about Knights of the Old Republic, Super Nova, Final Attack + Life 2, and every single other possibility.
