Well, Nevada is in the USA, which had some sort of population at the time.

I would totally live in the North Pole if I had a bio dome that was several acres large, with a small lake, tempertures fluctuating between 68 - 80 degrees farenheit, a grocery store, a Blockbuster and Hollywood video, a saloon, a waterslide park, a Starbucks . . . yeah, I could totally live there.
