Yep, because Titannus has a different power set than the Asgardians. Desak was a God killer and his power was meant to destroy deities, but just because he could defeat King Thor or give him a run for his money does not mean that he can beat Titannus. Titannus broke She-Hulks arm like a twig, and this was just after she punked The Champion of the Universe. the same could be said about the Champion because he has the power to inflict damage on someone as powerful as Odin, Thanos himself said in the story arc aptly named after him (Thanos Quest) that " he did not relish fighting someone with the Champions powers " why? Because it was his weakness to fight someone who could increase their strength level. Sorry for getting off of the subject. It is in my honest opinion that Titannus would overcome Desak by sheer force and disarm him, leaving him with no choice but to go toe to toe with him, he would then be beaten to death by an overwhelming force that exceeds his own.

Also the armor titannus used drained the hulk of his energies safe to say it did the same to she hulk you may have a point about desak being designed to fight mystical deities but he is still very powerful none the less powerful enough to match titannus

Perhaps, but it was his unique physiology that allowed him to absorb said energies... also as for Thanos curbstomping the Hulk has yet to be proven when the Hulk is at his more elevated levels, I do recall him K.Oing the Thing by smacking his head into the Hulks but he did not stop Hulk, also the fight ended by interference so it has not been determined who would win in the long run. Thanos would never fight the Hulk on these terms, he would find a way to end it via teleportation, I also need to add that Hulk was in Professor mode during this confrontation.

Desak didn't just beat RKT, he absorbed ALL of the odinforce without so much as a scratch. The only way Thor could beat him was by using the bloodaxe.
Well the fight did go in two directions, because he was beating RKThor, thus "giving him a run for his money". The outcome is really all that matters though, as Thor ruined his day in the end, proving that it does not matter about any give powerset but the way one uses the ones that they have.

Thor used a weapon he would not normally use, like the bloodaxe
