That's happened already, Mauvais took over the Wendigo spirit and was a BEAST. He even was a powerful magical user who Dr.Strange said he was unsure if he could beat him and that was before he took over the Wendigo's body.

Spider-Man first has a dream of the Wendigo's coming and the spirit eventully deals with one of the girls captures. This Wendigo is so powerful as it was shown leaving it was taller than the World Trade Centres.

Maybe the Hulk forgot about classic Abomination due to the fact that he was unconscious during their fight.

Agreed. If this is Classic Emil, he wins.

Classic Abomination was tough back in the day, but only because the Hulk was far weaker than he is today. Even Professor Hulk made short work of guys that gave him fits back in the day.
