Cloud is a stuck up spoiled brat who could do it with one of the hottest chicks ever (Tifa) and he could have done it with her and Aerith and even Yuffie! Cloud is gay because all he thinks about is Sephiroth this and Sephiroth that.

Cloud fights Sephiroth toe to toe for a while. He displays enough strength to cut through buildings and endurance to survive getting smashed through walls etc. He also performs a blade beam/braver combo mix. Cloud's new strength impresses even Sephiroth. In the end Cloud defeats Sephiroth by PISsing his way to victory once again with Omnislash Ver. 5 but you still can't take away the fact he put up a good fight.

He died when he smashed into him? I thought he was knocked unconcious.

Cloud impales Sephiroth with the buster sword and then rushes to aid Tifa, his long time friend who he made a promise to keep her safe when it all hit the fan. Sephiroth comes out of Jenova's chamber and Zack screams at Cloud to finish Sephiroth. Cloud does as instructed but fails miserably as he literally runs his torso though Sephiroth's masamune. Now comes the best part of the scene...Cloud shows inmense damage soak as he grabs hold of Sephiroth's masamune and throws him against some pipes.

Though I like the animation I prefer to use the game's version of the events. I mean...Cloud lifts Sephiroth into the air and then throws Sephiroth down the Mako reactor while at the same time making the Masamune come out of his chest. Cloud's the man. I'll go find the game's version.

Still, i just can't help but love Cloud ^-^

The creators of Final Fantasy VII stated that Sephiroth is way beyond Cloud and probably every known character in the FFVII universe, and toyed with Cloud thoughout their entire fight in Advent Children.

Cloud is still kickass however.

Seph's theme music is badass also.

This FMV and the entire highway chase clearly inspired Cloud vs Kadaj, Loz & Yazoo in the highway scene in AC. Nevertheless this part was one of the sweetest parts in the entire game.
