Sub-Zero appears in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon's konquest mode, challenging Taven to a fight, after the latter invades the Lin Kuei Palace. Before the outcome of the battle could be decided, Sub-Zero takes notice to the dragon tattoo he had on his face, commenting that it was similar to the one on the vault door containing the armor Taven's mother left for him. Taven acquires the armor and the Lin Kuei Palace is invaded once again, this time by Noob Saibot and Smoke who turn the Lin Kuei warriors into cyborg demons. Sub-Zero asks Taven to choose sides and Taven helps defeat the demons. Taven then defeats Smoke and eventually, Noob Saibot, who had attacked Sub-Zero. Sub-Zero shows his thanks by revealing to him the location of the stronghold to the Red Dragon Clan. Sub-Zero then attempts to cleanse his brother, Noob Saibot's, soul. It is unknown as to whether he is successful.

In Sub-Zero's Armageddon ending, after the defeat of Blaze, he attains godlike power. Combined with his power from the Dragon Medallion, Sub-Zero became so all powerful that he became an Ice God. This however, was without the consent of the Elder Gods, who responded by sending their champions to destroy him.

Signature moves

Ice Blast: Sub-Zero sends a blast of ice horizontally towards the opponent to temporarily freeze them in place for a free hit. In the earlier Mortal Kombat games, if Sub-Zero were to freeze the opponent twice, the second iceball would defrost the opponent and freeze Sub-Zero, setting him up for a free hit.
Slide: Sub-Zero slides across the floor, knocking the opponent off their feet. It is assumed Sub-Zero slides by freezing the soles of his feet.
Ground Ice: Sub-Zero freezes the floor and whoever steps on the circle of ice will temporarily slip all over the place, setting the opponent for a free hit.
Ice Clone: Sub-Zero creates an ice statue of himself anywhere he chooses, and anyone who touches it will freeze.
Ice Shower: Sub-Zero shoots ice straight overhead which falls back down atop his opponent. He can shoot it close, mid way, or far away to freeze the opponent. In Armageddon, instead of falling on the opponent, the ice comes up under them, freezing and suspending them in the air.
Cold Shoulder: Sub-Zero rushes the opponent with his shoulder, leaving a trail of ice behind him on the ground.

the younger sub zero is very weak he got destroyed by smoke and noob he needed the armor to allow him beat those tarkans which guided his moves and gave more power to his blows and got owned by quan chi... mortal kombat creators sure like to let the cool guys get there asses kicked, only ones who doesnt get there ass kicked are jax sonya liu kang and quan chi seems to beat up many cool guys

Games Versus and Respect forum is pretty much my home on KMC, so naturally, I'd view any new posts they get regardless of who they're made by, and I've probably no interest in seeing what you've posted outside there. If nothing else, it's you who has been stalking me; bumping at least three respect threads just to antagonize me over stuff that wasn't even that serious to begin with is proof enough. you are right i am sorry, but the thing is i am pissed at what they are doing to the characters i love, raiden used to be my all time favourite but seing him getting his ass kicked all the time just pissed me off seriously WTF? he is supposed to be the god of thunder and look at him, defeated by taven, shujinku, got trashed alittle by shinnok in the armageddon intro, then in MKvsDC they made freakin sub zero beat him up before all the power shifting and then batman beating him up and now shao kahn is kicking his ass? the coolest characters of mortal kombat get no respect at all

raiden, scorpion, reptile, sub zero are always losing fights and they will always lose to someone like jax or sonya it seems like they are undefeated , not to mention smoke cyrax and noob who are taking names and kicking asses way too much, not to mention freakin quan chi beating up everybody he fights with, i bet if raiden fought noob and smoke they would make him lose as well

sub zero is not a cyborg in the new game i played the demo, the elder sub zero died and became noob saibot and his younger brother took his place as sub zero thats there story in the new game he is not cyborg

The demo doesn't have every character dude. This is Cyber Sub-zero, with his moves listed, vs picture, and what not.

Yeah, I really loved that ending (how many more references to Deadly Alliance are they going to make though? ), but needless to say, I think it's impossible for it to happen canonically due to Cyber Sub-zero. =( Speaking of which, his ending was pretty bizarre...

At least he looks cool. For a non-canon ending like that, that's usually good enough for me.

Cyber Sub Zero's ending reminds me of Wrath of the Lich King's ending: "there always must be... a Shao Kahn!"

Younger Sub Zero is one of my favourite MK chars, especially in the 3d era. He became a good guy, but he managed to stay badass (especially as the Grand Master of the Lin Kuei).

I was sad when they tuned him into a cyborg. But I hope that he may return as his human self in the future.

Kuai Liang and the Lin Kuei deal with Cassie,Takeda,Kung Jin and Jacqui.
Turns out it was all just a training exercise made up by Sub-Zero.
