For those who don't know who Ethan Cole is he's the guy you play as in the game Area 51 game

The infection is a virus and with Ethan Cole he can switch between his human form and the infected form at anytime.

Oh. I just remembered something about that game having an infection mode in multiplayer. So I thought he could infect other people and shit.

Ethan wins "who's cooler" test but get's utterly destroyed by the Chief in combat.
