To be honest we don't know the extent of the new Ultron's power set, also Sentry wasn't trying to kill Ultron since she is Iron Man. the fight was interrupted as well.
That fight with Ultron was not a a low showing.

Even arguing he was holding back,he still was getting bloodied and beat around preety handily in a physical fight,combine that with not catching the helicarrier...and you have a whole comic full of low showings for sentry.
