Everyone has will, Destiny can see what Lucifer will do before he does it. Hard to judge on this.
Its already been shown he will last till the end. If Lucifer tried to kill him before that he couldn't. He gave information to Lucifer and Michael to save the universe, and this is when creation was already tilted to destruction. It's said many times everything is written in the book. Lucifer even in the void cannot change the fact he was created by YHWH, who was still in control of creation even after he left. In the meeting between Lucifer and his Father, Lucifer didn't trust anything he said and would rather be alone and kinda selfish then rejoin with God.

Thus, trying to change the outcome of said event(s), isn't really a possibility.

Galan007,
If that's true, then Lucy can't beat any of the endless. At best, he can destroy their anthromorphic personifications. But shouldn't this be considered a win?
For example, we know Lucy is more powerful than Dream. And Morpheus is scared stiff of him and he acknowledges that Lucifer is more powerful than him. But is he powerful enough to destroy the concept of it? No.
Same goes for Mephisto. Odin is clearly more powerful than him. But as long as there is evil, Mepphisto will always exist. Unfortunately Odin is no where near as powerful to destroy a concept such as evil.
