Is Lucifer more powerful then Destiny? Probably.

Can Lucifer defeat him? Doubtful.

Well if Lucifer's creation could outlast the old creation when Destiny dies at the end, Lucifer would technically win. But that was before Elaine merged them. Currently Lucifer is out in the void. So if the void lasts longer than the current creation, then Lucifer would outlast Destiny.

No

Destiny FTW

these threads are kinda silly imo.

You can't really judge this. Destiny has no will. If Lucifers kills him its because he was meant to die. If he doesn't, its because he wasn't.

Everyone has will, Destiny can see what Lucifer will do before he does it. Hard to judge on this.

No he doesn't. He follows the book. His actions are dictated by the book. He cannot purposely do something to change the outcome. If the book states Lucifer will kill him , he will be killed without giving any dispute.

Doesn't Lucifer control his own destiny though?

True, Lucifer's destiny now seems to be his own but that maybe more to the fact that Yahweh was no longer in control of the future of creation.

Its already been shown he will last till the end. If Lucifer tried to kill him before that he couldn't. He gave information to Lucifer and Michael to save the universe, and this is when creation was already tilted to destruction. It's said many times everything is written in the book. Lucifer even in the void cannot change the fact he was created by YHWH, who was still in control of creation even after he left. In the meeting between Lucifer and his Father, Lucifer didn't trust anything he said and would rather be alone and kinda selfish then rejoin with God.

Michael and Lucifer could both kill Destiny. They just won't and thats why he survived when Michael threatened him.

Everything is predetermined in Vertigo.

Thus, trying to change the outcome of said event(s), isn't really a possibility.

Lucifer might be able to destroy the vessel Destiny chooses to reside in, but it is highly doubtful that Lucifer could eliminate the very concept of Destiny.

You apparently don't understand.... At all.

Is that surprising? Nope.

Galan007,

If that's true, then Lucy can't beat any of the endless. At best, he can destroy their anthromorphic personifications. But shouldn't this be considered a win?

For example, we know Lucy is more powerful than Dream. And Morpheus is scared stiff of him and he acknowledges that Lucifer is more powerful than him. But is he powerful enough to destroy the concept of it? No.

Same goes for Mephisto. Odin is clearly more powerful than him. But as long as there is evil, Mepphisto will always exist. Unfortunately Odin is no where near as powerful to destroy a concept such as evil.
