It depends on the lesser number.

0.06234 has five significant numbers after the decimal, whereas 2 is just one significant number. Put the two together through multiplication and your straight answer is 0.12472, but with significant figures involved, your answer is zilch, zip, zero.

i would say round to .1 as well

i don't think we do that tho...from my notes the answer is more than one. but then they join all the calculations so i cant see where they did what.

They might keep it at four sig figs. .1247 if 2 is part of a ratio.
