I have my sixteen characters, i am ready to begin.

All match ups were chosen my random. In 2 days time the next round will start.



First match up


Superman "The Man of Steel" vs Green Lantern (Hal Jordon)

Superman Advantages:

Pure strenght, speed, he owns this power it isnt given him like the Green Lanterns ring which taken away he is powerless.

Endurance Superman can fight for weeks without tiring.

Has incredible endurance itll be hard to hurt Superman.

Disadvantages:

Only has what hes got, lazer vision, cold breath etc If none of this works agaisnt his enemy hell be out of luck.


Green Lantern Advantages:

Has many different things to throw at Superman because the ring can create anything that Jordon imagines.

Owns probably the most powerful weapon in the universe the Green Lantern ring.

Disadvantages:

Hal Jordon will eventually tire, and it will only take 1 punch from Superman when his body shield is down to end the battle.

His ring is like a battery that has to be charged, his ring will only last 24 hours if Superman can survive agaisnt Green lantern for 1 day his ring will be out of energy, fight ends.



The fight takes place in a vacuated Metropolis city, allowing the 2 mightiest DC characters to go all out. NO KYRPTONITE OR MAGIC IS IN THE FIGHT

So the question is to the end who would win.

While hal definitely wins - a black hole isn't new to Superman.

He escaped from a double black hole in the past.

Hal turns into Superman and beats Superman so Superman wins by losing to Hal.

Hal Turns his own DNA into that of a daxamite and then commences to whooping on that Ass. If his ring where to run out of juice, he'd still be a daxamite and superman would already be worn out from fighting a GL with all of his own powers.

Superman's stamina is questionable. If he fights an intense battle for a long enough time, he uses up his stores of solar energy and goes unconscious - witness the first battle against Doomsday, which lasted a day.
However, a Green Lantern ring can hold him off only so long. By the end, Superman should win.

Superman Is not, I repreat Not taking it against HAl. Superman is capable of skyfather feats. A good Gl is capapble of low abstract feats. Hell high ones. the guardians put the yellow weakness in the rings so tha they wouldn't surpass the guardians. There is no yellow weakness any more. Hint.

Superman is done in by the mightiest of 3 lanterns in the history of comics. He is beaten before he throws one punch.

Someone above said Superman is capable of Skyfather feats. But he's not capable of any reality warping or life-creation et al. He's a herald-level being, instead.

How does Superman Stop from being drained of the solar energy in his cells? It's happened to him enough in comics for us to know that it can happen?

On all both sites the score is 19-15, kinda close

This round ends in 7-8 hours.

The next round chosen at random may not involve comic characters so i hope its not moved.

Now I can be wrong here as I don't know Hal very well.
I know other GLs like Guy better though.

But can't Superman move faster than Hal can react and take away his ring?

Can't Superman bust his shield faster than Hal can react and then hit him a second time (also before he can react) for a KO?

Now if Hal is given prep then I think it is now a fight.
But speed is just about everything in these forum fights. Why are people forgetting that? I mean just look at flash alone and how he is able to win against many with just his speed.

Ok this round is over, the ending score 23-16.

I shall start on the 2nd round straight away.

This would be tough...it would depend heavily on just how much knowledge Hal had. If he has the full knowledge that his years of friendship with Superman should grant him, he should win this by using some kind of method to drain Supes of his powers. If this is strictly a knock-down drag out....I'd give it to Supes, based SOLELY on his durability, I feel like, if he took the fight close the sun, he could outlast Hal.
