It would be easy to say clowns but for me the real deal was Ventriloquists dummies. Those lifeless eyes and manic grins. And you can't even kill them coz they look even more scary with half their faces missing/burned.

Same here. In fact, they still make me pretty nervous. That Buffy episode with Sid the dummy made me cringe with fright and it turned out he wasn't even an evil dummy

Fire crackling used to freak me out as a kid. I also had to sleep with my closet door cracked open in case there were monsters, which really makes no sense, but for some reason it did back then.

Clowns have always freaked me out

Puppets. I loved them on TV, but then I'd see them in my nightmares, and that certainly was a bad thing. I couldn't watch a Chucky movie commercial without closing my eyes.
I was also terrified of wasps, my brothers sneaking up on me in the dark, scorpions, bats, and tarantulas.

Now, only scorpions still scare me, but wasps and renegade puppets still creep me out.

I've always feared characters such as Jason Vorhees, I used to dream being chased by him all the time. I still do. That and the dark.

I used to be scared going through the big car washes...those big brush things were horrible
