First England looses 2:1 to Russia in football after dominating the first half and scoring a goal.

Then In the Rugby world cup final England loose to S.Africa, ok S.Africa were favorites but nevertheless it was silly mistakes which cost them the game.

And in Formula 1. Hamilton was favorite to win the championship being 4 points clear, he flew of the track but managed to fight himself back in the points, then the car accidentally selected neutral, dunno who´s fault this was and he was 18th again. And lost the title because of 1 Point, if Alonso had "accidentally" crashed or "broke down" on one of the last 3 laps Hamilton would have been champion.

What a sporting week for the English.

The one aspect of all that I hate most is the fact that as soon as the general public's main sporting interest is more or less out (England football team), they turn to whoever is next in line for success, or should THEY fail, someone else.

I've had people call me a traitor for supporting Brazil's football team, but then when you ask them why they don't support every single team England has to offer, it's usually cos they don't care, unless they're doing well.

Your right about the "jump to the next successful opportunity to celebrate" syndrome . But I wonder why, are people so insecure they need someone else success to lift them up, a "were not crap at everything after all" sort of thing.

I suppose people call you a traitor because you don´t support the country you come from, even though there are lots of people who support actual clubs which are no where near where they were born.

I think people should support who they want, its mainly just the team they like.

I can see why you support Brazil, they are the simply the most talented, attractive playing team in the world.

I tend to go for the underdog, even if its against Englandsmile
