I agree with Galactus. Thanos has had little spats with him in the astral plane, IIRC.

He would have to lower his telepathic defenses.

In order for most people to beat Thanos with telepathy, he would have to lower his defenses.

I responded to the OP, not the post above me.

Thanos almost defeated Galactus with TP... Prof X couldn't even get Galactus to notice him. That gives you a bit of an idea of how strong he is.

There is a history behind Thanos defeating Galactus and IMO when Galactus had enough then Thanos knew he was done for.

I have doubts that Thanos is more powerful than Xavier on the Astral Plane, but if it came down to it Shadow King would give him nightmares.

I know I saw that very same pic long ago, it seemed like PIS. You know when the writers decide that something would be a good way of telling a story, and make the underdog more than what they usually are? Kinda like Hulk taking several blasts from Galactus and continuing to go after him. Thanos is also a powerful mystic, so perhaps that also helped out against Galactus. On the Astral Plane I have seen many crazy things as far as feats to say that Thanos would not have a hard time if Xavier attacked him, let alone Shadow King in his later form. Thanos may win but this is highly arguable.

I would say that Thanos is at least on Par with Xavier

I'd say no to either Prof-X or Shadow-King. Thanos has punked Moondragon every time they've mind-tussled, and she was mind-controlling entire planets beforeher time with the mind-gem.
