If YOU were this character.....

If YOU were this character.....

...would you be able to (minimally) inflict (some, even if minimal) pain on Thanos? ..no plot devices, gems, IG, blah, blah, blah... Standard character (toys) only.

Just say yes or no after each character. If you think a win is achievable (even if slim) specify such. Thanks! 🙂

Cap'n America
Batman
Ghost Rider
Spiderman
The Hulk
Storm
Magneto
Juggernaut
Wonder Woman
Thor
Superman
SS

All have a chance to inflict pain. I want to say surfer. But he would forget who he was and all his powers and just throw out his weakest blast against Thanos and get knocked out.

None of those would win, but all of them are probably capable of inflicting some type of pain whether it be a small amount or more.

I could agree with that.

Well does the thread say anything about winning? And I'm not sure Thanos could stand up to the penance stare.

I don't believe that Eternals have the nociceptors humans do - it's hard to quantify what would be 'pain' for them.

Thanos got a hand put through his chest and responded with 'interesting.'

Pain? Unlikely.

What phrase did you expect Thanos to go out with?

"Damn you Drax, that really hurt a lot" -- ??

If Thanos could feel pain, you don't think there would have been a 'comic book sound effect' of some sort? An 'UGH!' or 'OOOF!'?

He was clearly in shock -- having your heart ripped out will do that. dur313

If he went into any kind of shock, it'd have to be hypovolaemic shock - something that is usually accompanied by VERY intense pain.

Fairly obvious,
As his heart was completely separate from his body -- Wouldn't be too good for his overall circulatory system I'd guess. 😛

But... The events/signs&symptoms leading up to a true hypovolemic shock-like state [such as rapidly progressive CHF], are what is the most 'painful'.

But the actual state of 'shock' one enters is quite painless in it's later stages -- As your consciousness slips in and out, you really don't feel much.

This is more than likely what would have been the case with Thanos, judging by the extreme multi-system trauma he had just experienced, in one foul swoop.

As you said - later stages. He didn't have much time to progress, now did he? 😬.

Anyone that thinks having their heart ripped out of their chest would not be accompanied by incredibly unquantifiable amounts of pain is kidding themselves.

Nope,
It happened in the blink of an eye -- negating the body's slow and painful progress into a shock-like state... Which in turn, led straight to 'insta-shock'. 🙂

Thought you said Thanos didn't express the feeling of pain when that happened?

[That's how my whole 'shock argument' came up]. lol

He didn't.

Because I don't believe that Eternal physiology has nociceptors the way humans' do. Eternals cannot be harmed, injured, or killed by 'conventional' means, as far as I can recall.

Without or without technology?

With, no one nothing, lol.

Without, there's the list:
Ghost Rider
The Hulk
Magneto
Juggernaut
Wonder Woman
Thor
Superman
SS
