InnerRise
I'm actually really excited about this game.

I'll be getting it sooner or later.......probably later.....after Assassin's Creed and Mass Effect.

Neo Darkhalen

Neo Darkhalen
Nice, Thank you.

WrathfulDwarf
Yes! I want it. With Ninja Gaiden too.

Neo Darkhalen
I liked the first Ninja Gaiden for NES.

Yoshi Paradise
Ultimate Mortal Kombat DS?

If Jax and/or Johnny Cage is in it, then there's a chance I might get this game.

Neo Darkhalen
How many games have they been in?

Yoshi Paradise
Jax: 12

Johnny Cage: 9

Neo Darkhalen
So there is a good chance that both will be in the game, Jax is more likely obviously.

Yoshi Paradise
Since Jax was in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 for the Sega Genesis and other platforms, I'm sure he's in this game.

I'm not sure about Johnny Cage.

Neo Darkhalen
Well Yoshi, he has been in a fair few games so I will say their is a 84% of him being in the DS game, then again the DS can't support many characters.

BackFire
Yeah, sounds cool in theory. But remember the last handheld MK game was a disaster, so I'll hold off until I hear more about it.

Neo Darkhalen
Perhaps that is the best thing to do.

Either I've forgotten it or was never aware of it.

What console was it on, was it on GBA?

Yoshi Paradise
Yeah, there was a Mortal Kombat game on the Gameboy Advance.

The name of it was *gasp* Mortal Kombat Advance.

Neo Darkhalen
I would never have guessed.

The name of it was *gasp* Mortal Kombat Advance. I can't imagine that being that good.

And considering the technology of the DS and how it's almost practically a port of the game that it's based on, I don't think you can compare the two.

I've seen game footage and it seems good enough.

Anata wa wakarimasu ka.....

Neo Darkhalen
Do you know who some of the characters are?

Ridley_Prime
Meh. From what I've known, "Ultimate Mortal Kombat DS" is basically just Mortal Kombat Trilogy with wi-fi. Nothing too special.

I was hoping for an actual sequel to Armageddon (which I found to be a disappointment compared to Deception), but oh well.

InnerRise
Yeah, basically a port like I said. Doesn't mean it's not good or no big deal just b/c it isn't a sequel.

Just preference.

This may be the first quality handheld Mortal Kombat Game we've ever had.

For some...that's a pretty big thing.

I'm definitely looking into this game, if not only for nostalgic purposes if it's done right.

And also, here's a link to something concerning actually trying to make a fully 3-D Mortal Kombat Game for the DS.

I much prefer the Old School 2-D Games myself. They were the best in my opinion.

Blax_Hydralisk
I agree. 2-D > 3-d in terms of fighting games, imo.

Ozone
I hope Johnny Cage is in this game.

Neo Darkhalen
he may appear yet.

Ozone
I hope so.

Neo Darkhalen
You never know, well until he is revealed, then you know.

Ozone
I know that.

Neo Darkhalen
Yes I know that you know that.

Ozone
Then why did you tell me?

Neo Darkhalen
to keep you in high spirits.
