If it is true that Luke is in his 60's, how could he look so young? I saw the picture on Wikipedia of him when he fought with Lumiya and he look just about the way he did in return of the jedi. Even in Legacy, he looked as he did in episode 6, his ghost was sporting a youth appearance. Obiwan had his old appearance when he was a ghost, What's the secret? Does anyone have any current pictures of what Luke actually looks like?

Darth Hord
Here is a link to the cover of the lasted star wars legacy book Inferno. Its the lastest artwork I could find that he is still alive in.

Thank You! Now he looks like he has a little bit of age on him. Not bad for 60.

Captain REX
I decide to explain it to myself that he is in incredible shape and that the Force has allowed him to retain youthful energy and strength, so why not appearance, even if slightly?

Morridini
Luke isn't that bad, Mara however.....just ridiculous.

This is Mara, age 58:

Darth Scythe
lol@Mara looking like a 27 year old supermodel at 58.

Those cover artists really must love smoking crack.

MasterAshenVor

laughing out loud

Imagine that....Grandma Mara.... stick out tongue

Sesse
This is the very reason they killed Adrian from Rocky Balboa...

Older men tend to look charismatic. Older women... Well... See the previous image....

Blax_Hydralisk
Wow.. Mara is still smokin' hot at age 58..

Captain REX
How consistent!

Lord Melkor
Don`t people age slower in SW galaxy? I think that their level of medical technology is quite high....

Morridini
Well, Jedi certainly do. However there is a difference between slow aging and reverse aging as in Maras case.

Only if she were a rappin' granny.

Well iv read about jedi master fay, yes the one with pointy ears and they said despite being so old and still looking like a beautiful 20 year old, its because of her so called "immensely strong connection to the force". - wookiepedia

Thats very fallible seeing that luke and anakin, whom has the strongest connection to the force still shows sign of aging. In the LOTF cover, we see luke with abit of age, as for anakin in ROTJ when he removes his mask, he looks like humpty dumpty.

Does anyone have any current pictures of what Luke actually looks like? aging effects are cause by chemicals wearing away in the skin, in the star wars universe they probally have stuff that keeps it in our skin (like people are developing now) or it could be physical activity or even the force, or that they didnt want him to look old and withered. as for mara who in the hell would what her hotness to go away stick out tongue

Orbius
I think the real question here is, how did Padme not age at all throughout the PT? Could this mean she's force sensative!? ;o

The big EH
lol, you know wats wierd, episode 3 spanned 6-9 months

Darth Scythe
Seriously? Where is this stated, if you don't me asking?

The big EH
doesnt need to be, at the start of the movie you cant see that padme is pregnant and at the end she has the babies which means at the beginning she only in the first trimester which is the first 1-3 , so basically logic told me this

Or she could have been pregnant for a long time and could not contact Anakin beforehand since he is fighting in a war across the galaxy and she might have wanted to tell him in person and not in a message. wink

The big EH
ya thats wat she did but you couldnt see the baby at all

That's definitely wrong.

It was something like 9 days.

The big EH
it takes longer than 9 days for a baby to go from barely noticeable to being born

Couldn't see the baby? can you explain it better.

kamhal
Weren't Luke and Leia concieved 5 months before ROTS? So this would mean that the movie spanned around 4 months.

I have an issue of Star Wars Insider which states that the timespan of the film is close to 9 days. I will dig it out and type it up if I have to.

The big EH
well star wars insider must have made a mistake cause either they were extreme prebies or insider was wrong
