Crisis On Infinite Earths. Orion series. Jack Kirby's fourth world. The Forever People. Darkseid: New Years Evil. The Hunger ( Not cannon tho). Seven Soldiers: Mister Miracle.

I always liked the Great Darkness saga, but it's mostly cause I just like the idea of Darkseid battling the Legion.

Fourth World is your best bet.

There was a story called Foundations that was good. Rock of Ages was good too.
