Mace Windu. Is this even debatable?

I was thinking of obi wans mastery of soresu and how that might help him, vs how mace's vaapad was so powerful that he overcame palpatin

Lets look at it this way. Mace beat Palpatine, Yoda told Obi Wan he was no match for Palpatine. There isn't a whole lot of room for debate here.
