Is this really any worse than the brainturds spewed by Rosie O'Dyke?

No. In fact, I willingly suspend my disbelief in the hope that she might have been trying to make an intelligent point about her devotion to Christianity.

Even if she weren't, this is clearly yet another attempt by KMC's resident anti-Christian to make Christians look dumb...when it would be her lack of education due to her inner city upbringing (lol stereotyping) and early religious views that made her retarded (she was a Jehovah's Witness for much of her life).

I'm surprised this hasn't turned into a good ol' fashioned Bush-bashing because of No Child Left Behind.

But, LAWL XTIANS.

Where has anyone bsahed a religion?

That never even popped into my head. Saying something like "I never thought of the world was round; I think about how I'm going to feed my kids..." surpasses ignorance.

I never even thought about religion. It is simply a person who is miseducated and brainwashed. Screw any creed, that's a sad, sad pesron.

If it's an Adam_PoE thread, it's against Christianity.

Sherri Shepherd is a retard who converted to evangelical Christianity. She essentially doesn't have any thoughts of her own; she just parrots what other people have told her...and, apparently, no one thought to tell her that the world is round. From what I can tell, she could be described as a fundamentalist, but I am not familiar enough with her to make that statement as if it were fact (nor do I care). Anyway, the point Adam is trying to make is that she's stupid and she's a Christian; ergo, Christians are stupid.

Right, I get that. But what I don't understand is how people can claim it's their right to be ignorant. Like there is any truth to the notion that Rome came after Christianity! What I truely can't comprehend is why the other women on there didn't get totally outraged!

Having to earn a living to feed your kids is an excuse for not knowing who won American Idol, not for not knowing the Earth is round! It's that kind of public stupidity that legitimizes the next parade of dumb asses that comes along!

I found these videos speaking more poorly of women, not christians. First becuase not knowing the earth is round is just f@cking retarted and secondly because no one made an effective effort to set her straight.

Well, with all due respect to your religous preferences, you don't HEAR too many atheists on television being given a level platform on which to share their beliefs. They're often maginalized and dismissed by people just like you. You can't mention Rosie O'Donnel without pointing out that she's a dyke. So, you can't really recuse yourself from the absurdity of holding this dumb ***** out to be representtive of the mindset of many christians, when you do exactly the same with Rosie.

It reminds me of when Bill O'Rielly declared victory in the "War on Christmas", against the "FORCES of DARKESS" (his words, not mine) By calling people crazy, he removes a very important aspect of the situation: PEOPLE. This country doesn't belong to one group of people over another. If the owner of a store doesn't want his employees to say "Merry Chirstmas" to their customers, that's the perrogative of that private buisness owner, not the throngs of outraged christians standing outside his store, interfereing with his AMERICAN RIGHT to operate his buisness as he sees fit without the interference of a group of pinheads who think their outrage should become public mandate. Bill Orielly called that buisness owner a member of the FORCES OF DARKNESS! It's another example of social conservative hypocrisy. They support buisness at all expense, the privitization of government, but refuse to allow the buisness to be private.

I don't understand people like yourself that are social conservatives, who get worked up over the declining morals of the nation; support the Republican party, who uses and abuses you; insist on the ten commandments being displayed in our courts; insist that the shorthand for christmas is going to land this country in hell, and the country continues to become more and more the kind of place you don't want to live.

I'm sorry, I wouldn't call Rosie "O'Dyke" if everything with her weren't "I AM A HUGE LESBIAN, FEAR My WRATH."

(That sort of misses the point, I know.)

It's spelled "business," and I don't know much about the situation, so I won't comment aside from saying that I think protesting over such a thing is a little much.

It's disgusting, that's why.

Pro-life. If Democrats were pro-life and Republicans were pro-choice, I'd vote Democrat.

I don't; I just think the noise the ACLU makes about religious discrimination is ridiculous.

I don't, although Fred Phelps and Co. might.

If it makes you feel any better, it'll probably be conservatives at one point blathering about how they want to move to Canada instead of liberals.

You ought to be happy. At one point in the future, I believe that we will be a far left socialist country where everyone is happy and the masses feel no outrage at anything.

BackFire
My balls predate Christianity.

Zeal Ex Nihilo
They must be really, really wrinkled and shriveled.

Devil King
Well, I only hear one of two parties saying that outrage should be constant and based on one religion's standards and practices(which they more often than not, fail to accomplish. I'd direct you to the majority of Adam's posts about republican hypocrisy)

I guess you'll just have to evolve socially, or go extinct. And the sad part, is that the sacred republican party will abandon you the moment it's in their best interest. It doesn't matter what the future holds, be it mass northern migrations of social conservatives or book burnings at the local baptist church, there is an America for all of us. Some people just need to learn that beating everyone else over the head with their idea of what that America should be is in no ones best interest.

But, realistically, if the conservatives start to babble about moving to canada, they'd be bigger hypocrits than they are now. Besides, one group want to say ridiculous things like that because they want to get away from social constraints placed on them unfairly because some people think freedom of religion is equal to dominance of the majority religion. This is not a democracy.

Bardock42
I think we have to abandon the notion that democracy is a good thing.

WrathfulDwarf
Any well informed Christian knows that Judaism pre-dated Christianity. The roots of Christianity come from Hebrew. They teach this at Sunday schools. Either they didn't pay attention or they just use "Christian" as title and not as an actual idea.

contrary to your beleif, christians are generally much more moronic than atheists. this is not because atheism grants knowledge/reason, but because one has to posess knowledge and reason to let go of their relegion and become an atheist/agnostic. {seeing as the overwhelming majority of today's population in born in one type of organised relegion or another on in such socities.

conversely, christianity has an extremely high probability of granting one stupidity, which isnt necessary.

Well, yes, in the leftist fantasy, things are graded on a curve because some people just aren't as good as others.

If Sherri Shepherd = representative of all Christians, then braindead whore = representative of all atheists. It's a fun game, and that was the point I was trying to make.

Also, I read through some of her other comments. She's not a Christian; she's a rational, awesome atheist who is far above the intellectual slavery of religion.

but there is a big difference between those two analogies. atheism never makes any1 a braindead whore{or ANYTHING for that matter, it is just the absence of theistic faith, which isnt a faith/beleif in itself}
however, christinity DID make sherri shepherd say those things in one way or another.

so the example doesnt hold. it is true that not all christians shud be judged on such idiotic peope, but it does go to signify the shortcomings of CHRISTIANITY as a path. same as a few school shootings serve to alloborate on the law that grants right to bear arms, reguardless of it being or not being a true depection of all gun owners.

You are correct. However, I neither implied that atheism made her a "braindead whore," nor did I imply that atheism had a cause-and-effect relationship with personal characteristics.

That is a faulty analogy. You argued that atheism didn't influence the woman's characteristics and then said that Christianity influenced Shepherd's actions. The two aren't the same.

it is not a faulty analogy. atheism is LACK OF. christianity is PRESENCE OF. there is a vast difference. she said those things DUE to christianity{which certainly CAN and HAS been interpreted in those ways in the past}, were it not for christianity, she wud not say those things.

however, a braindead whore has no connection between being an atheist and braindead/whore. so you parallel doesnt hold but mine does.
