I don't, either... Givin that he only had one appearence... And that one appearence had him being above LT, so that's his established power level.
He's not above the LT. The LT absorbed Protege's power in that arc did he not? Thus boosting the LT. And the Spectre wins.

In that one comic, [which is subsequently Scathan's one and only appearance, btw] -- Scathan was > LT.
Things are not always as they seem. Is Drax above Thanos? Or did he serve a purpose? As I said, did not the LT absorb Protege? That would be an instant power up. Boosting the LT beyond Scathan. LT+Protege>Scathan?

I agree.
The arc alluded to him being equal to LT.
Which is just as funny.

You mean while Scathan was holding him down?
..............................................................
Or while the LT was drawing upon the Ancient One's Amulet for power
to supplement his own?
..............................................................
With Scathan's help ... and an external power source ... you're right,
LT did absorb Protege.

I've seen you repeat this several times across threads,
please tell me where is it this is stated or depicted?

If he absorbs Protege, why would that not grant LT the power that Protege possessed?
I actually agree with Nvr on this one, from all indications LT would have gotten a power boost from this event. It is not directly stated on-panel that "LT got a power boost" or anything like that, but it does show that LT absorbed Protege instead of just killing him outright or some other such defeat.
Usually in comic books when one character absorbs another, they gain their powerset.

Because it wasn't stated on panel or in LT's bio.
LT placed Protege in some eternal hourglass,
yes, LT reabsorbed the hourglass,
but we don't know if that hourglass is a prison that resides withIN the LT,
or a dimension where its residents are detached from reality for ever.
What we do know,
is that the LT only got a power up once, as stated On Panel,
by using the Ancient One's Amulet.
If that was stated on panel,
I don't see why they would've left out something so significant,
like the LT having the incredible powers of Protege.

From all indications, on panel and in LT's bio ... LT didn't get anything,
with the exception of the momentary power up from the Ancient One's Amulet.
