I don't think I've enjoyed a single countdown related thing so far...salvation runs was sort of meh.

Stay away from anything spider-man related.

New avengers has some the worst dialogue I've read in a while.

Anyway Larceny, just find a character or arc you're interested in...it's not hard to find even 2-3 that interest you. It helps to have a local comic shop to test-buy a few titles before finding one you like, but it's not always a necessity.
