Hudlin for Black Panther is really good. I agree wholeheartedly. Best writers of our time. James Joyce and Aldous Huxley ain't got nothing on them.

Say what you will about Loeb, but I've been digging up some of his older graphic novel work with Batman. It's pretty good stuff.

Gaiman and Moore are the artsy writers. They don't tackle too many ongoing series, so I generally seperate them in my mind from the others.

Johns is tops among the rest.

Citizen V
Pft.

Dan Slott ftw.

But when they do write ongoing series, like Sandman, Supreme, Tom Strong and Miracleman the product is of far superior to what others create. Your seperation is a flawed way of looking at things and a way to justify others works. The problem is they are so much better, everyone else looks like a hack.

Entity
Frank Miller and Alan Moore are comic gods.
And lets not forget Todd McFarlane

Give me pretty much anything written by them with art by Alex Ross and I'll probably never need any other comic again.
Give me a Spiderman by them and I can almost guarantee it!

....

I'm really not sure how I should respond.

Should I act as if that was a sideways reference to your uncircumcised penis? Or should I just pretend it was a description of your new posting style?

Or..

Ermm...

I feel dirty now.

What does your heart tell you?

Anyway on topic, Johns, Gaiman, Moore, BKV, Morrison sometimes, most of them have already been mentioned.

jumpmann
Currently, probably Matt Fraction with Geoff Johns being my personal fav. He's got the knack for straight up superhero awesomeness. Morrison, Vaughn, Bendis, Mark Millar, Brubaker, all up there too.

invisiblewoman
Neil Gaiman (my personal favorite)

Grimm22
For me, it has to be Geoff Johns.

His style of writing is perfect, to me at least.

It's not too artsy (Morrison), too preachy (Vaughn), too Epic (Millar) and most important, it's not too Bendis. stick out tongue

But seriously, he can deliver a good story and keep the characters true to themselves better than any other writer in the industry right now
