Cyrax is captured by Subzero and reprogrammed with new orders: to destroy Shao Kahn. With Kahn unable to detect his assassin's soulless presence, Cyrax delivers a successful sneak attack. However, after eliminating Kahn and saving Earth, Cyrax awaits new orders from his Lin Kuei headquarters. The orders never come and Cyrax malfunctions. He ends up stranded in the middle of a vast desert, blindly heading toward his base.

The enormous heat and pressure of the lava burned out Cyrax's sensors almost immediately. He cast about blindly in the infernal pit, searching for the orb Nitara had sent him to locate. Cyrax found it resting upon a small submerged pedestal beneath the molten depths. As soon as he clambered to the surface, she demanded he hand over the Orb.

Nitara had promised to return Cyrax to Earthrealm once the orb had been retrieved. Taking her necklace in hand, she uttered a mystical incantation. A swirling portal opened around Cyrax and he only had time for a solemn bow before he was swept into the gateway.

Snafu's Notes: Whoa. A bad guy who actually kept her word. That's a first, considering the bad guys' track record.

Not really. Sector's got 2 Pulse Blades to use in battle. Cyrax only has 1.

Sector's got missiles. Cyrax has bombs that are much easier to avoid. erm

Sector has a long-range flamethrower and a rocket punch uppercut. Cyrax has a... green net?

Meh. Cyrax is still badass though (in general). Respect to him. cool

since when is 2 better then one? Anakin in Attack of the Clones had 2 lightsabres and got pwned by Dooku. That sith in the cartoon Clone Wars had 2 lightsabres and was pwned by Anakin. Cyrax gots a Saw that comes out of his chest. OH and FREAKING GRIEVOUS HAD 4 FREAKING LIGHTSABRES AND LOST TO OBI-WAN! FOUR!

Since always, in the MK universe. Quan Chi's Broadswords fighting style for example (where he has 2 swords), is more effective than Kung Lao's Broadsword style (where he only has 1 sword).

In addition, Quan Chi having 2 swords allowed him to slaughter Kenshi in the Armageddon intro, whom only had 1 sword to fight with.

Starting at 2:41.

What more proof do you need? 2 swords are in fact, better than 1. 31

In the Star Wars universe on the other hand, it kind of works the opposite way, for some of the reasons you stated stick out tongue, but...

For the record, Grievous was severely weakened when he fought Obi-wan in Revenge of the Sith (due to Mace's force crush damaging Grievous' lungs, making him much slower). If Obi-wan had fought Grievous at his prime...

He would've met the same fate as those other Jedi, for sure... so before you go using Grievous as an example like that, maybe you should do a little research first. stick out tongue

Regardless of who won in episode III, 4 lightsabers are still better than 1. Grievous was just too weakened by Mace Windu's attack to be able to finish Obi-wan himself (though he thought he could, apparently).

Looks like quick-sand. Cyrax probably wasn't familiar with it (being a robot and all), so naturally, he fell into it. If pretty much any other character fell into quick-sand like that, they would've ended up the same way. erm

But yeah. I guess that does make Cyrax a noob in a way...

i love it how grievous was handstanding while using his feet to fight (1:02) stick out tongue

Indeed. smile

The Grievous from episode III would've never been able to do that due to his condition...
Obi-wan was lucky for Grievous to be so weakened so he could win. stick out tongue

Yeah. That's true.

Well actually, Cryax was never independant, especially not now, since he became an ally of the Special Forces.

Oh, okay. Gotcha.

Funny that Cyrax and Sector were referred to as Ketchup and Mustard before they were given actual names.

IMO, mustard is eww, while ketchup is good.

ketchup > mustard
And thus...

Sector > Cyrax
