You know the punk on X3 who was known as "the cure?" The nintendo-playing white-clothed wearing kid who could neutralize everybody's mutant powers? Well, his powers worked from only a few feet away or closer. So what the heck would happen if someone used an energy attack at that monkey from a distance? Like storm, cyclops (although he was jean grey lover-fodder by the point), pyro, etc. Could they zap him or would his power eliminate their mutant based attacks before they hit him?

He's Leech, and exists in teh comics too.

Probably. The energy isn't a mutant power itself, just derived from one.
