She taught him everything he knows about his psi powers, and probably not everything she knows (like Xavier did with her). If he doesn't have the T/O then she should at least be able to use her tk sensitivity. When the Xmen were battling the slavers during the Goth/Neo run, she manifested a telepathic attack that took him completely out of the battle as a side effect. She was also able to use his telekinesis without his leave during that run to rearrange their uniforms. She also scared the shit out him, during that run because he thought that she was manifesting the Dark Phoenix due to her power level and attitude.
