Hypothetical situation.....

Lets say a loved one needs your help doing a certain something, and you are expecting them to call you when they are ready to do it so you can drive over and help them.

You then find out that they went and did it without you. You call them to ask why they didnt call you to help, and they blow it off.."no big deal, I handled it, it's all good.".....

Should you still feel guilty about it, even though they assure you it's not a big deal?

Depends on what had to be done.

Fixing a hot water heater.

well they didnt call so no

thats my thinking. Plus its my dad, and he is bigger and stronger than me, so I dont see it as a big deal.

That depends on how the loved one said it. If the loved one indicated somehow that the loved one would call, then you should not feel bad.
If the loved one meant for you to come over right away and you missunderstood it all, I guess you could feel a little bad, but it is really not a big deal- since it was a missunderstanding and you in fact was going to help 🙂

Its all good, it was a one man job anyways.

Then you have nothing to worry about 😄

tis the conclusion I have come to. ✅

Don't forget about the circumstances. You don't know what kind of a mood he was in. Maybe he needed that extra boost of manly use/confidence and did it himself. Maybe he feels more sorry because he knew you were waiting for him, and he kind of let you out to dry. Personally, there's always a missing detail in the grand spectrum of things. I wouldn't worry about it. But then again...

It's not you're fault they didn't call you. So no, you shouldn't feel guilty.

Hey if they didn't call, I don't see the big deal. 😛
