One of my favorite bands of recent times. Okkervil River, another great band from Austin, TX, manages to be both epic and personal at the same time. Their album the Stage Names is truly a great album. I can listen to that album over and over and over and not get sick of it. I can say that about very, very few albums.

I really like them too. Especially their last two albums, really promising work. I got all giddy when John Allyn Smith Sails turned into a loose cover of Sloop John B. Good times.

just started listening to them last week while searching for some new stuff...great tunes
