Because MM's only limitation was organic molecules,
he was still ridiculously uber manipulating in-organic molecules.
But even aside from this,
I never noticed the upgrade myself,
he simply went from controlling in-organic molecules,
to controlling both in-organic, and organic molecules.
Somehow this boosted him above the hierarchy.
I will submit though,
he never demonstrated the scale of influence he had in SS,
before that.
(I just never understood why being able to manipulate "organic" molecules,
was such a big deal)
Personally, imo, twisting non-organic matter in the fabric of time/space,
should be the big daddy.
