1. Empire with Super Weapons

2. Empire with Super Weapons

Both Factions are at full Power.

(Correction)

1. Empire with Super Weapons

2. Empire without Super Weapons

All Fractions are at full Power.

Define 'super weapons'.

Death Stars, Sun Crusher, Galaxy Gun, Eclipse, Centerpoint Station, Hyper Velocity Cannon. Things of that such Caliber.

The Empire still crushes them. With or without the superweapons, they have the largest fleet ever seen. Star Destroyers are quite enough to defeat them (besides from more soldiers, more ships, and the emperor).

Taking away the Empire's superweapons would only delay the ultimate defeat of the CIS and Republic for a short time. The Empire is the ultimate military in the galaxy, with the largest amounts of government spending going to the military and its personnel being kept in a constant state of war it would utterly destroy these two foes.

Excuse my severe lack of statistical knowledge in regards to the Empire, but do the Imperial's really have the numbers to "utterly destroy" the two opposing factions? Especially when we take into consideration that the Confederacy had a vast amount of financial backing and could mass produce a nearly unlimited number of droids in a very small space of time. Likewise, the Republic troops were merely clones, therefore there was never any shortage.
It should also be noted that Super Battle Droids and Clone Troopers, the bulk of the CIS's and Republic's armies respectively, were advanced killing machines in their own right. I certainly dont see the Stormtroopers winning wih ease, if at all - especially when we consider that an 'entire legion' of their best troops were beaten by a primitive, stick wielding society of Ewoks.

Though, like I said, I know little about the number of troops and fleets the Galactic Empire had under its control at the height of it's power.

The CIS has a laughable income compared to the Empire, considering the Emperor had all the money in the galaxy at his disposal. And the stormtroopers are clones as well, so any advantage that gives the Republic is nullified by the fact that the Empire also has it. Then considering that living warriors are superior to battle droids and how well the Republic fared against the CIS, we know the Empire wouldn't be too threatened by the CIS's military.

Rampant ox
The Republic had the superior tactics, which is why they were able to survive so long against the CIS and their Droids. The Confederacy essentially had Droids leading Droids, and relied soley on superior numbers and firepower to win a fight. However if the two factions were to work simultaneoulsy next to each other, they would have the benefit of both numbers and tactics. A lethal combination

An entire legion of the Empire's best troops were comfortably defeated by an army of Ewoks. Therefore, I think it is safe to say that the combined strength of the Confederacy and the Republic would cause Stormtroopers of any calibre significant greif. Unless of course the Empire significantly outnumbered them.

fascistcrusader
No, the 501st was not defeated by ewoks. They were slaughtering the ewoks left and right, and the worst the ewoks did was knock a couple stormtroopers off their feet and crash a speeder bike or two. The Empire's troops didn't start to lose until Chewbacca got an AT ST, which gave the rebels some strong firepower and the ability to destroy the rest of the AT STs before the Empire knew what was going on. To say the Ewoks were what defeated the Empire at Endor is ludicrous, they were nothing more than a distraction, while Chewbacca and the rebel troops did most of the real winning of the battle.

And the Empire beats both the Republic and CIS in numbers. As pointed out previously, the Empire has all the money in the galaxy at its disposal, and spends most of it on the military. Then add to that the fact that the confederacy and republic have outdated technology while the Empire has top notch war technology, this clone wars team stands no chance against the Empire.

Alright, the Empire wins. I am now adding on another scenario:

1. Rebels as of Endor

2. Rebels as of 6 years after Endor.

(Remember, Empire at it's height includes such commanders as Thrawn and the Emporer and Vader, while CIS also has such commanders as ROTS Sidious and Dooku, while Republic has all Jedi.)

(Remember, Empire at it's height includes such commanders as Thrawn and the Emporer and Vader, while CIS also has such commanders as ROTS Sidious and Dooku, while Republic has all Jedi.) In that case:

1. Does incredibly little in the terms of extra firepower, Empire still wins.

2. Considering the Empire, even at the fall of Coruscant and even with warlordism starting to really fragment things, was STILL the largest governing body in the galaxy-- this again says little when compared to the Empire at its prime.

And to cover Rampant's posts:

You may be seriously underestimating the size of the Imperial arsenal. They controlled a galaxy of resources. Even after the militaristic years of the Clone Wars, the Imperial arms build-up that followed was still the largest in galactic history. Combine that with enhanced technology, the supreme control from Palpatine and Vader, Thrawn's brilliance, and the Empire's indifference to completely obliterating any obstacle to the New Order, the CIS and Republic are in for a very rough ride.

As for the droids-clones-stormies love triangle: The droids are single minded machines, matched by any well trained organic. Noting the above military indifference, the Empire wouldn't be above carpeting any droid-covered area with ion fire. And as for the uh, *cough* staggering amounts of clones, well... numbers don't lie.

It's the Jedi that would be the ***** to overcome. If it were the full 10 000 at the beginning of the war that is. Still, that's rather conjecture, as there is no way to calculate what the Sith would, now that there's no reason to hide anymore. I doubt very much that Palpatine would pull a stunt as to use himself as bait again, to lure in Yoda and Mace. But again, given the Empire's dispassion for civilized warfare, the Jedi would still be hard pressed to fight the way they did against the droids. They'd be looking at more of an insurrection campaign than that of straightforward battle.

Gideon
The Empire wins. With or without superweapons, the inevitable is merely being delayed... by hours.

The real question is do the Old Republic get the Jedi Order?

It won't make a bit of difference. Orbital bombardment.

fascistcrusader
Yeah, Jedi are great and all until the area they happen to be in is saturated with turbolaser fire. The Empire still wins it, they are simply to militarily strong to be defeated by these groups.
