Very deep and philosophical.

Has ups and downs I take it. To me it is mostly a good thing so far.

Its a good thing. You can be informed on almost anything you want.

The bad thing would be if the Internet was controlled by one person or one people who wanted to make us believe what they wanted to swing in their favour.

Proper wording would have been "Great thing, or greatest thing?"

Maybe an INTERNET FORUM isn't the best place to get unbiased answers on this issue.

I'd like to mention something. People always say you shouldn't believe everything on the internet because there's a lot of crap on it, when you reference one source. It's like saying you shouldn't eat mushrooms because a lot of them are poisonous.I highly doubt .gov websites would be bad when discussing government for example.

exept in one instance where perhaps, when the country goes to polls, the party in government decides to manipulate the website for its own political propaganda and leans the stats onto its favour.

One of the best things every created IMO.

Plus, it is part of the new media and is free (so far) from corporations that control the old media.

Because of stuff like this "ZOMG!!!111!! liek u dye stoopidz!! eye am pwning sum n00bs!!1!!!" the internet is stoopid...whoops....I mean stupid.

If it wasn't for the internet, gynecologists wouldn't get to practice their love with women.

i think the internet is a good thing.its good for all ages my grandad is like 94 and he like useing the ebay and he likes to download old vintage porn and classic western films.The internet is fun too meeting people from around the world and having great porn sites too.intternet is a good thing.

It is neither good nor bad. The Internet has its dark side, but it also brings tremendous opportunities and benefits.

I use the internet on a daily basis for work as well as for pleasure. Its fun going on various sites and finding out celebrity facts and a bunch of other stuff.

The internet is just a big library. How can that be a bad thing?

However, the purpose people use it for can be beneficial or harmful.

The Information Age, I love it!

Evidence of understanding and issues of internet is so deep and vast on the page one.

Its a good and bad thing

Bad thing because of cybercrime, identity theft, bank accounts fraud, children can access all sorts of weird and hate sites, biggest sex market in the world - and not ordinary type porn, but ranging from child abuse to rape..etc.

At the same time its a huge communication tool, business opertunity, has tons upon tons of information about anything you could possibly want to know. You can buy anything you need on the internet and never leave your house, it provides entertainment, you could meet and communicate with people all over the world...

Thus, its both.

It's one of the greatest mmorpgs ever created.

I sometimes wonder what I would have done with my time that I didn't spend on the internet. I spent most of 7th grade (1997) in chat rooms (yeah...), not to mention how I still spend hours at a time on my computer. Now its the myspace/facebook addiction, including facebook apps, of which the connections one is my new vice.

Would I be better well adjusted had I not spent so much time on the internet? Would I have had no friends in 7th grade anyway and spent it doing something else? Would that be worse or better? Maybe I could have developed some amazing talent... or actually practiced playing guitar.

Of course the internet is an amazing tool and I wouldn't ever wish that I didn't have it, but sometimes I just wonder.
