Enhanced Perception.
Think of it this way: there are about 6.5 billion people in the world today. What if, instead if having two hands, two legs, and one brain to control them, you had 13 billion hands, 13 billion legs, and 6.5 billion brains to control them? Sounds confusing? Not really, because all those brains would function as a single brain, and the hands would function as a single pair of hands All of humanity would function as one body whose capabilities were enhanced 6.5 billion times. After all, there are much more than 6.5 billion cells in our body, and it functions as one unit. So if a single body can do it, why the whole of humanity?
In addition to becoming superhuman, anyone who became altruistic would receive the most desirable gift of all: omniscience, or total recall and total knowledge. Because altruism is the Creator's nature, acquiring it aqualizes our nature with Him, and we begin to think like Him. We begin to know why everything happens, when it should happen, and what to do if we want to make it happen differently. In Kabbalah, this state calls "equivalence of form", and this is the purpose of Creation.
Gematria of God and Nature on Hebrew the same!(Elokhim and Teva).
When we unite with nature, we will feel as eternal and complete as nature. In that state, even when our body die, we will feel that we continue to exist in the eternal nature.
Physical life and death will no longer affect us because our previous self-centered perception will have been replaced with holostic, altruistic perception. ur own lives will have become the life of the whole of nature.
But if you've gotten this far, no matter what you might think, it's really even simpler than it sounds. You can already relate to Eternity. We're already in Ein Sof. We just don't feel it. Through the journey of the wisdom of Kabbalah, we have a great guides, we can all find our way.
When we unite with the Creator(Nature), we feel as eternal and as complete as the Creator. Right now.

now that is what you call daydreaming. sure, you can try to IMAGINE being part of everything, but whether that will actually work or just be a delusion is quite another thing. unus mundus. in the end, whatever makes you and others around you truly happy.

Am I correct in deriving that this is an eloquent extension of the possibility of worldwide oneness of thought? If so I like your take on explaining it. If not I must say I'll need some more help.

I must agree with Leon, it's daydreaming. But it's more cognitive daydreaming than a lot of other types of daydreaming.

Quote:"Am I correct in deriving that this is an eloquent extension of the possibility of worldwide oneness of thought? If so I like your take on explaining it. If not I must say I'll need some more help".
"All kinds of unpleasant situations are sent to us so that we will finally understand that it is not the external things that we should fear, but the lack of contact with the Upper One, the absence of spirituality."
Awakening to Kabbalah, Rav Michael Laitman, PhD

If we were aware of the Upper Force that's always influencing us and arranging everything in our lives, then we would know the secret of life. We would know what life's grand purpose is and how everything in our life is led by that purpose.

So how do we reveal this Upper Force? We have to learn from the people who've already revealed it. Such people are called Kabbalists, and they have written books that can help anyone discover what they have discovered. By reading their books, one gradually begins to feel and understand how the Upper Force motivates his life and why it brings about the things that happen to him in life.
Authentic Kabbalah has nothing to do with temporary distractions like lucky charms and magic spells, red strings or holy water. Rather, it is an ancient, time-tested wisdom that helps people open their eyes and discover their interrelation with the Upper Force.

This is not something you will feel in your imagination one moment and forget about it the next instant. It is a discovery of a whole new reality that you did not feel before. Kabbalah explains that there is a vast spiritual world concealed behind the picture of reality surrounding us.

Studying Kabbalah, one suddenly realizes where everything comes from and that life has no coincidences. One tangibly feels that everything in our world comes from the Upper Force. As a result, one begins living in harmony with the Upper Force.

In practical terms, learning about the Upper Force gives us real knowledge about how to live correctly. We become conscious of what is harmful to us and are able to avoid it. One gains a spiritual vision, where he sees the full scope of existence, the entire system of reality and how to use it to benefit the world. Hence, Kabbalah is a practical and essential wisdom.

kaballah is neither practical nor essential. YOU can make it{like many other things} practical, and your reliance on it makes it essential to you.

Like any religion. But that's okay because it's kind of hard to loose something like that once it becomes essential ya know...

So I take it this enhanced "perception" has nothing to do with the actual meaning of the word "perception" and how it relates to sensory organs and neurological information processing?

As heart-felt as this is, the problem with words is that they are not the actual experience of anything transcendent. At best, one can speak of the techniques for acquiring the experience, but even then: careful observation, an honest heart and critical reasoning are needed to discern whether or not there is any transcendent truth to what is directly perceived. If such inquiry allows for consensual and empirical reliability, all the better.

So...a Kabbalistic vision of a collective consciousness permeating society?

Sorry, but fancy words and outdated mysticism are less likely to get us there than more practical methods: Namely, the consciousness would have to be cybernetic, via some sort of Transhuman linking. It's still outlandish, but is a decidedly sci-fi approach to it rather than pure fantasy...still impossible in practical terms for the foreseeable future, but not impossible to imagine as a rational extension of technology centuries into the future.

So yeah, the Borg.
