I sit on my rooftop,
Lost in my thoughts
I stare beyond the horizon,
Watching the Sunset of Solitude

From across the room,
Her smile battles my gloom
I try not to judge,
But my mood won't budge

And then it happens
For a brief moment her giggle disappears
And her smile fades
It's a look of complete fear

Right then is when I finally realize,
She's watching the same Sunset as I.

Very pretty. It is a simple story yet profound in its message. Good poetry, nice story. Nice!

Auburn…

The way you look at me
I find myself lost in auburn,

Mask

Hide your face away
Run away from all your sorrow
Hide behind a mask

Nick looked up at the scene.
His eyes glowing passionately green.
She looked like a true goddess,
And that’s just being modest.

The handcuffs felt cold,
As they held their hold.
Nick’s eyes fluttered in bliss,
As she went in for a kiss.

Soon she was a far,
Probably in some bar.
Nick lay lonely,
Seeing the handcuffs only.

He felt nothing in his heart,
Feeling his stomach turn.
What had he become?
How did he crash at burn?

Paradise

Heaven,
Paradise in the sky
Heaven,
Where We Go When We Die
Heaven,
Why are you so far away?
Heaven,
Can you even hear what I say?
Heaven,
O how we long to be together
Heaven,
To be united forever
Heaven,
A retreat from the heat
Heaven,
I fear we shall not meet

Cold Marble

Graveyard,
The closest place to hell
Where the dead dwell
Are you lonely as well?

Graveyard,
Your cold tomb
And your empty room
Can you not hide your gloom?

Graveyard,
Your slowly wilting flowers,
Families mourning for hours
Why are you so sour?

Graveyard,
So many faces soaken,
Many words unspoken
How many hearts have you broken?

Would you hold it against me,
If I said I loved you?
I know what you see
That terrible person I use to be

Those bright green eyes
And that sunny yellow hair
Through all my lies,
I grasp at the ties

But nothing can beat,
Not even stand a chance
Or even compete,
With a smile so sweet

How I live
To hold that heard again
I know you can’t forgive
But my love is all I have to give

REDEMPTION

Once I met a perfect person
Once I was taken back by purity
Once I threw ambition into the wind
Once I was led to your doorstep
Once I gave into my heart
Once I fell in love
Once I took a risk
Once we were happy
Once I was the reason for your smile

Now I solely seek redemption

THE START

There I saw you for the first time
I watched you from a distance
There I built up courage
I finally approached beauty
There we shared our first words
You took my breath away
There we passed countless hours
We grew closer
There I kissed your soft lips
We fell in love
There was just the beginning
Here we start our lives together

MISERY LOVES ALCOHOL

The burn of your throat,
The altered reality
The loss of feeling
All masking the brutality

A haze taking over
Taking you to another place
So far away,
Miles from grace

Take another shot
Drink away your pain
Try to fight it back,
But misery will reign

Misery loves alcohol
And you’ve got them in sync
You’ve given into the demons,
Here, have another drink

LABELS

When you look at me,
What do you see?
Someone who’s different
Not like you

You try to classify me
Why can’t I just be?
I’m not all black and white
There are a thousand shades of gray

You want to insist
While I resist
To put me in a category
Based off what you see

You only fuel my fire
With all your desire
To put a your label on my forehead
To brand me forever

"To put a your label" is not very good English...

That was a typo I had it written out "To put your label"

CLOSE THE BLINDS

There's always a calm before a storm
The world seems to stop spinning
Sadness dissipates,
Everyone’s missing.

I look around,
Cherishing the serenity
I’m lost in peace,
The peace of amenity

I can’t make sense of anything
All that I know is I’m breathing
My body fails to move
All I can do is keep breathing

A storm is coming
But I don’t mind
People are hurting,
I close the blinds

THE PATH

This way
The lonely trail
The long endless path
Bordered with pain and suffering
My way

BLACK

While once openly welcomed,
These colors I turn my back
My eyes cannot stand the sight
All the want is black

DROWNING

Darkness
Pulling me down
Squeezing the life from me
The distant calls of one’s I love
Save me

LOST ONE

Help Me
I have fallen
I lost myself tonight
He’s locked me in a dark chamber
Find me
