Cool. First post in a new forum. Anyway, which did you prefer.

Go Batman Begins.

T.M
Batman Begins for me.

Impediment
Bale's Batman would kick the living shit our of Keaton's Batman. I mean, c'mon, Keaton was Mr. Mom, for Pete's sake.

BruceSkywalker
I love Batman. Keaton's Batman was good, but the story should 've been better. Bale's Batman however just purely rocks. Better acting, better costume and most importantly better story.

Strangelove
I much as I love the original Batman, Bale-Batman would win.

sithsaber408
TKO victory for Begins.

SnakeEyes
Bale makes the better Batman.

Batman Begins is the better movie.

In a fight, Bale would kick Keaton's ass any da of the week.

There, I think I've covered all the bases. Begins/Bale are better than Batman '89/Keaton in every way.

Bardock42
Bale would beat the shit out of Keaton

Bale is a better actor than Keaton

Batman Begins was the more faithful movie

The Batman from Batman Begins would beat the shit out of the Batman from Batman 89.

I think any way you look at that Batman Begins was superior. Batman 89 is still fun, though. I enjoy it. Should maybe have been called "The Joker" though.

MildPossession
Batman is still definitely a fun good film, but Batman Begins for me.

yeah thats a no brainer.I mean seriously,if were talking about who would win in a fight between keatons batman and Bales, thats a joke.Keatons Batman was a wuss in Batman 89.He couldnt even beat ONE guy getting the crap beat out of him by that Jokers goon at the end. That was pathetic. The batman in the comics could easily have wiped the floor with that guy blindfolded even being just the LITTLE hurt that he was when he was fighting him.Batman 89 is a disgrace to the comics.Bales Batman did Batman justice showing off his true martial arts skills taking out a dozen or so goons within seconds. Now THATS Batman.

I agree with EVERYTHING Bardock said except about it being fun.Boring snoozefest of a movie for me.I especially agree that the movie should have been called The Joker since The Joker had the majority of the screentime and Batman was just a supporting character.Just one of many things I hate about that crapfest movie.

Robtard
Bale-Batman could kick the shit out of Keaton-Batman, Kilmer-Batman and (especially) Clooney-Batman in a 3-on-1 fight.

ScarletSpeed
who voted for the original wacko shifty

Mr Parker
Probably some Keaton/Burton apologist.

Batman Begins was completely "meh" imo.

The fight scenes, in particular, sucked penultimate ass. The whole "blur everything so you know what it's like to fight Batman" was complete bullshit.

Batman 89' wins purely on having better fight scenes and a not quite as annoying female lead.

you can say that again. laughing rolling on floor laughing laughing laughing well the one comment about Kim Basinger not being an annoying lead is a good point.the rest is incredibly hysterical though. well looks like we now know who the Burton/Keaton apologist is.

ScarletSpeed
Indeed lol laughing out loud

Dark-Jaxx
Ledger's Joker kicks all their asses.

And that makes me a Burton/Keaton apologist... how? erm

Ooh, tough call. Batman Begins is so good and Christian Bale is an amazing Batman who actually makes him interesting, something Val Kilmer and George Clooney couldn't do. But movie-wise, the first hour is so slow and Katie Holmes ranks right up there with Kim Basinger on annoying female lead, although Katie does sport a fun taser.

Michael Keaton was a good Batman, probably the closest to Bob Kane's original idea of Batman, but the movie is so Joker-centered to the point that it was he killed Bruce's parents.

But speaking of parents...the dad in Batman Begins is grating and I got tired of the Father Knows Best perfect dad concept where the mom is completely shoved to the side.

I'm still going with Batman Begins.

Darth Martin
Bale>Keaton

Begins is also the better film although ever now and then it is good to see the original.

I'm still going with Batman Begins. Well, it's a sort of boys thing though I guess. In the Comics it's mostly his dad as well that's portrayed I think.

Oh also, Michael Caine was an amazing Alfred.

These movies are completely different to me. The tone of each film is separated by such a vast contrast. Where the original Batman had corny gadgets and moments it was completely accepted by the direction of the movie. Where Batman begins was corny and over the top, it hurt the film due to the realistic direction. I think they are both very well made. Although i prefer Begins over Batman, I think Burtons Batman is far more memorable. Just as i think Bale made for a better Batman, i think Keaton Had the better screen presence. The strangling gaze that Keaton gave as Batman was perfect. Although, when Bale was interrogating Bullock and went all nutty, I felt as though that is how batman always should have been.

Mr Parker
BATMAN BEGINS-the one and only true batman movie that doesnt deserve to be burned was NEVER corny and over the top.

So, batman driving around on roof tops, summoning a horde of bats using a bat calling device and having the commissioner take controls of a highly advanced military vehicle is not corny or over the top?

sithsaber408
Summoning the bats was from the comics, but I'll concede the other two points. stick out tongue

Begins is still better.

Mr Parker
I'll concede that driving around on rooftops was kinda over the top but hey it was unique, something different.with that kind of advanced batmobile,I really thought nothing of it.

Mr Parker
Begins is still better.

thats the understatement of the century.Like a hundred times better.

I am not calling these scenes to trial. Even though they stick out like a sore thumb to me when compared to the rest of the film, i think they were well done.

I know the whole bat scene is something directly from the comic books and im sure Nolan chose to do it because he thought it would offer a great visual effect. He took a risk with it and it paid off. It is a fairly cool scene, but it still takes me out of the movie and forces me to ask...,"thats the best he could come up with...,calling bats?"

The tumbler is to badass that im not even going to criticize the rooftop chase and the commissioner thing. It worked and thats all that counts. For me to pick on these scenes is purely nit picking on a movie i love.

As for the original batman. I can see why people wouldn't like it, but i dont know why you would call it garbage. It was very well done and helped Batman a great deal. The movie was very stylistic. The style and tone chosen for the movie is so strong that you are either going to love it or hate it. Comic books were viewed as a joke, something for children before Burtons' Batman. He gave us something serious, dark and ambitious. He showed that there are genuinely good stories to be told in the comic world and brought some respect to them...,even if Burton had never read a batman comic in his life wink I remember that the Batman comics became more mature and bit more gritty after Burtons Batman

Mr Parker
I know you have missed them before in the past rage but since your on now,I sent a pm for ya.
