If they hit him, they would do serious damage as it's a deadly poison. However, his nth metal healing factor may compensate for it. Also hitting Hawkman with bullets is going to be a feat onto itself

2nd fight with only Axe, shield vs mace, shield

I can see Hawkman winning both, with the Claw of Horus and his gun that can shut off people's minds he is a shoe in.

Ares might lose the first senario due to the fact he can't fly.

Ares take senario 2, he is stronger and Hawkman has to fly down to attack.

Do you think Ares is going to have more trouble hitting Hawkman with bullets then a mook like Alias The Spider had hitting him with arrows? 😛

Ares is woefully underrated. Hercules was using him as a bat and swatting missiles and they were both still fighting like dogs. The thread starter specifically stated no "super magic weapons," so I'm guessing that Hydra poisoned arrows and the Claw of Horus are out.

Ares 7/10 in both scenarios and only because Hawkman's Nth metal mace is trouble.
