I'm sure many of you have already seen this, but oh well.

Hal Jordan leading a Justice League? Hell yeah.

Hal Jordan being the leader of a second-string Justice League? Demoted to the likes of Supergirl and Batwoman?

What?!

Juntai
Yeah I read this a while ago.

Because with McDuffie on the title, he wants all the black characters front and center in the main book, so Hal is thrown out, so he can give the character pushes to Black Lightning, John Stewart, and Vixen, who have been the center of the series since his takeover.

Outside of Batwoman, the team looks dope though. Maybe she'll grow on me... but probably not.

Master-Borg
jesus, there's a bat woman?

Soljer
I'm glad I'm not the only one that's noticed that, recently....

Black Lightning, Stewart, and Vixen have been portrayed as more powerful/important than Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, et cetera.

I saw this coming back in the 40s.

Tetragrammaton
I knew Hal would be thrown out. So much for the partnership dealio.

At least he gets to be the leader of a team with solid superstar characters like Supergirl, Batwoman, and Starman.

This actually looks decent, and any hal ollie interaction is good...

god i hate mcduffie...

Very true. At the absolute least, the Green Lantern/Arrow dynamic will be good.

Kara's carved her own place already.
I take it she's out of the Titans soon then?

Juntai
Gotta say though, I do have confidence in Robinson.

Avlon
Sounds interesting but Juntai is right... Batwoman needs to go...or better yet erased from DC history.

Maybe we'll get lucky in Final Crisis?

That's what I'm hoping for.

She's completely craptastic.

yeah, fingers crossed the rest of the book is just as good... jla literally ony has benes' art going for it, imo...

Hal and Ollie is kind of an old hat. Doesn't help that I don't like Ollie.

Aztec123
I have nothing against Vixen or Black Lightning, but I can't stand John. He is far to arrogant and nunworthy to be a GL. I want to see more interaction between Superman, Wonder Woman and Hal, because in my opionion, Hal should be part of the Holy Trinity. Batman is too overrated, they need to bring him down and give Hal a try. Anyways if they write a new Justice league, you can't forget Flash. As for the other members, I would like to see Supergirl and Dr. Fate.

or if not have remake the justice league as a whole and include the following members as the core.

Superman, WonderWoman, Hal Jordan, Dr. Fate (kent), Zatanna, Vixen, Martian Manhunter, Green Arrow, Flash and Batman (reserve) and or Hawkman (Carter Hall)

p.s. I can wait for Red Tornado, he is finally going to get an upgrade, it is about time.

Red Tornado upgrade = another excuse for him to get blown to pieces and put back together

It was implied on suicide squad. I cant remember exactly what steel says, but he stated that his new suit will stronger and better than ever. That's what I got out of it, but I might be wrong though erm
Anyways, I hope he gets an upgrade. It would be really cool. smile
He is an awesome character, or so i believe.

And Flash is going to be part of the new Titans team.

Raoul
they said reddy is getting a new body in jla 18 i think, too... he'll have the full range of human sensation, and his new body will be more durable than his old one...

tjcoady
James Robinson is always good- "Starman" is one of the few things I'd consider paying the like, hundred dollars for the "Absolute" volume.

Is this red hed hot lesbian, the Question's ex-girlfriend Batwoman? She's not such a bad character.

I attended the DC panel on Saturday and was sitting two-three rows when they announce the new league. I was thrill to hear that this league was going to be more about catching criminals than solving global threats. But I was just completely turn off when they announce Bat-woman in the team.

Hal is most likely to be team leader. About time...

Hal can't be part of the Holy Trinity. Then it would be a...foursome. big grin

The classic Holy Trinity of the JLA - Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman - is just like Marvel's classic Holy Trinity for the Avengers - Captain America, Thor & Iron Man.

And why should Hal, the Guardian of this sector of space, be so concerned with catching lower-fish criminals? That's beneath his mandate.

Batman is overrated? Better not say that too loudly... stick out tongue

This sounds interesting. I hope the artwork and storytelling are good.

Ahh.. they put an Ape on the team.
I'm suddenly scary close to dropping this book, and I haven't even collected an issue, but it's got so much going for it.

Batwoman's entire point was to create controversy because of her sexuality. Of course she still hasn't done ANYTHING since play a small role in 52.

Yeah she's a token character.

tjcoady
oh my god

oh my god

I was already pretty excited about this book, mostly as a big fan of Robinson's work in "Starman," and as a fan of Green Lantern, particularly Hal, and a big fan of Green Arrow.

They put Congorrilla on the team. Let that sink in. Congo-freaking-rilla.

Not only am I going to buy this book, I'm going to buy enough copies that I'll build a small house to live out of. YES!

Not a league without Jonn

Still the reason i refuse to buy curent JLA.

John will surely enter in the JSA next, he is a fossil.

One of the best JLA runs of all time didn't have Manhunter either.

Besides, it's easy as hell not to read the current book since its a piece of crap.

My english is bad, what I meant to say is that i would like to see more interaction between Hal, Clark and Diana. T smile
They should take on powerful villians and beat them up, such as black adam, bizarro and sinestro. I want to see them throw down and come out with bruses. The reason why i mention this is because, when i was younger i use to watch the superfriends and immediately respected them. I guess you can say i'm too excited that the three of them are working together, since back in the day.

I actually like batman, he use to be my favorite character. But as i grew older i can characterize myself with clark. Especially in the episode"for the man who has everything" jlu cartoon. That's around the time when i started reading comics. Anyways Batman is overrated, and its true. But that's just me stick out tongue

The series has officially concluded.

I didn't care for the final issue at all, but all in all I though it was VERY good as a whole.

You talking about Meltzer/McDuffie/Robinson's JLA?

I'm just amazed at what you said is all... You really liked McDuffie's arc?

Galan007
McDuffie's run on JLA went from issues 13-34 before he got fired, right? If so, I did enjoy most (not all) of those stories.

...But regardless of your thoughts on McDuffie, I'm sure you'd agree that JLA was an excellent series as a whole, no?

I was actually kind of unimpressed by the whole thing, tbh. Meltzer was good I thought, as slow as he might have seemed. The less said about McDuffie's arc (which i did read), the better. Robinson's was touch and go for me (though admittedly I didn't read all of it), and the massive roster change really put me off.

So no, in short, I wasn't a huge fan. Maybe I'm in the minority, I dunno.

Galan007
Yeah, I understand what you're saying about the 'inconsistent' rosters/storylines. Makes sense.

Personally I enjoyed it on average- that is to say, it was one of the few titles I looked forward to each month from DC.

I really liked Meltzer's run, but after that, I'd let myself hope it was going to get better every month, only to end up disappointed bar the odd one-off issue. Even Ed Benes just didn't seem up for it after a while. And some of the characterisation was horrible at times, I thought.

Still not sure if Johns is gonna do this right or use it as a Hal and Barry vehicle.

^ Hehe.

A good 'for instance' of what Johns' has warped one of his favorite characters into can be seen just by looking at Professor Zoom. He started as a fairly minor Flash rogue, but has since been transmuted by Johns into an almost abstractual negative speed force entity/time anomaly, of whom will be responsible for retconning all of DC into "The New 52".

Is it any wonder I didn't read all of that mini...

I still give Johns props as i really like how he writes Hal most of the time, but outside of that...
