IdiotGod
Thanos' spirit animates the Asgardian Destroyer Armor and it takes on the Lord of Apokolips.

Who wins?

Bouboumaster
Thanos stomps 10/10 Darkseid.

I give him majority even without the destroyer, a majority of 7/10.

guy222
Destroyer FTW

TheBadguy
Destroyer pushes him down some steps ftw

Endrict Nuul
.....

Gecko4lif
take away oe to make is a actual fight

norrinradd43
Would Thanos keep his power if he empowered the Destroyer though? wouldnt it just be the Destroyer's inate power...just a thought, I could be wrong...

quanchi112
Darkseid dies.

tkitna
Destroyer

h1a8
I think Darkseid erases him with the OE.
I see no reason to see that Destroyer is essential.

IdiotGod
When did Darkseid erase any being with the OE stronger than himself?

Oh and Superman survived it. That whole "Superman is essential to the universe" is NEVER mentioned in teh comic and is pure fan speculation.
Like Darkseid avatars.

Funny...Alexander Luthor commented that he didn't kill Superman because apparentely everything comes from Superman.

Funny isn't it?

You are right about no mention of Superman being essential to the universe , but mistaken about the avatars.

Even interviews for Final Crisis has said we havn't even seen the true Darkseid yet and he is going to make his FIRST apperance in Crisis. So yes, the avatars are real

Grant MORRISON: "They don’t. They can feel the influence of them, but they don’t know about them. Superman, Batman and the Justice League know about the New Gods because they’ve met them, but we’ve never really seen the New Gods in their full power before. We’ve seen their actions. The DC superheroes see the New Gods as other superheroes in the way that Orion or Barda can join the Justice League. They’ve never understood that what they really are are f---ing gods. This story’s about the first time Darkseid actually manifests on the planet. Everything we’ve ever seen before has been kind of projections from the world of the New Gods and for the first time we’re seeing them in their full power. And it’s like what would happen if a god appeared on the planet. Galactus is one god. This is a whole bunch of them—that’s how bad it is."

I know there are DS Avatars. I'm referring to when people claimed there were avatars with zero evidence to excuse DS getting owned. Best example is Hunter/Prey.

As for the quote...that just screams "so, just ignore all the times the New Gods got their asses kicked by everyone. They weren't at full power. BUT THEY ARE NOW!"
You know the characters suck when they have to do that.

King_Mungi
I have no idea if it was an avatar during Hunter/Prey, but yeah most of his losses were retconned to be an avatar or merely Desaad pretending to be him

However, what loses were fully avatars I don't know, but now with Final Crisis seems every time we saw Darkseid win/loss he was an avatar *shrugs* Guess we have to wait and see how they handle this in Crisis

Thats a mighty big turn around to now say you knew that darkseid used avatars.......but now you just dispute it when they claim a loss for darkseid.....i dont buy it....sorry no

"Pure Fan speculation" eek!

You know the characters suck when they have to do that. I completely agree with this. I mean how many times have they gone to Apokolips. This Morrison guy may be out of his mind.
