Absolutely. No prediction of a scientist or a scientific theory is 100 % certain. They are all inductive predictions, which means there's always a chance (however small) that they might just change. How do you know the sun will rise tomorrow; well you don't !

you're right though and it surprises me how many people do assert the absolute certainty of one "law" or another, from the physical sciences, when in effect empirical 'truths' are not true but probable (albeit very highly so, in most cases).
