Today I received some news. First off what some of you don't know is that me and Guy222 are brothers. Today we found out our father has a form of cancer. Its treatable. Say a prayer..

Didn't know you and Guy were brothers.

I mean no disrespect to Bruce or Guy, Jacope shouldn't be running his mouth in the first place about whether or not to share a topic like this on the internet.

When I had a family member with cancer, I posted a topic like this as well. I had people come after me for posting it and it pissed me off, what's it matter to them if someone shares their news with friends on KMC?

I think its good, as far as i can see everyone on KMC are like friends (most of the time) so obviously its the kinda thing you would tell everyone.

at least its treatable. I'll say a prayer for him.

Why not? We spend a lot of time here, it only makes sense that we might share parts of our lives with other members. Plus, maybe some people here don't have others outside of KMC to talk to. Maybe this is their only outlet. It's not fair to make them feel as though it's wrong to use this forum as such.

I am sorry to hear about your father, It's a hard thing to have to go through, I have been there, not too long ago my father was diagnosed with cancer, his isn't treatable though, I understand how upsetting this can be, anyways I will say a prayer

A little update: Our father starts his first chemo session tomorrow. The Doctor is very confidant that he caught the cancer quick and early.

I'm not a religious man/goat, however I firmly believe that each person is born with a set amount of strength to get them by in times of needs. I believe at times we run out of said strength and require strength from others to get by. I've obtained much strength through my hardships, so feel free to borrow my strength, just as long as you give it back.

My Dad is very sick. His doctors are very concerned. I got a call from my twin who was crying. Next couple of days are really important. They are hoping, if he can come off the respirator if will greatly improve his chances

Its perfectly normal for people to turn to their friends in times of trouble, especially when they are on the Internet. There remains a distance which helps the person who is getting the info off their chest as they can fell more open- its like writing in a diary.

We are a community here on KMC...even though we don't all get on all the time or even know everyone...however thats not so different from any community is it?

Best of luck to the Father of BruceSkywalker and Guy222, he will be fine.

Also, I know this is a very difficult time but it is imperative that you prepare yourself for every outcome- don't be afraid to continue to turn to your friends and each other.
