I was reading another thread when someone asked rhetorically, what have we done with our lives? This actually made me think how much has changed in my life since I joined KMC.

Let's see . . . I was in the middle of a major break up when I joined here. I moved into an apartment with my best friend. Met an awesome girl on KMC who lives in Europe. I quit my first news job. Moved away and worked at a hardware store. Moved back and got my news job back. Moved to the coast, still with the same job. Got a news job in Vegas. Left California and moved to Las Vegas. Started new job. Moved into a house with some coworkers. Met my girlfriend. Married my girlfriend. Bought a House. Got promoted and bought a Chihuahua.



So, what have you done with your life since you joined KMC?

So, what have you done with your life since you joined KMC?

Got a job working in IT. Moved to OKC. Had a baby. (Okay...my wife had the baby.) Got several IT certifications. Paid off tons of debt. Moved from the apartment into a duplex. I have also learned several things since then.

When I joined KMC I had no life offline, and now I do awesome

Stayed at that job a year before wanting something better...didn't find it, became a night stocker at a grocery store to make ends meet. Ended up becoming a cashier at the same grocery store, then injured my knee so bad I haven't been able to work much. Sued the company, lost, appealed the case, lost again.

Moved back to Tennessee, became a printer repairman, lost that job due to downsizing, found a new job and became a certified forklift operator at a DVD manufacturer. Lost that job after having an accident involving a forklift and an I-beam.

Tried working at a scrapyard cutting steel with a high powered torch, reinjured my knee, and here I am now...

Oh, and got majorly drunk many times, and got high a lot. Plus made lots of kick ass friends.

I had just graduated high school and was going through a hard breakup. Partied and played poker all summer. I went to college for a few months in the fall but couldn't afford it so I dropped out that semester. I worked as a pizza delivery guy for about 5 months, quit and then enrolled in a smaller, more affordable college in the spring. Been going to classes there and just got a new job at Home Depot.

Let's see...I joined KMC when I was 17 years old. I'm now 22

- Turned 18 and graduated high school in 2004
- Started at a community college and got a job at a movie theater
- Turned 19, left said job because it sucked ass
- Went to England in March 2005 to meet Ush
- Got a job in a coffee shop fall 2005
- Was in a car accident right before Christmas, injured my back, and was glad for a reason to quit said job as it sucked ass
- Spent a month in England during the summer in 2006
- Went to a Tool concert, killed my car, broke my finger, and got a job at Gamestop in the span of a month. Still at said job, because it's completely awesome.
- Turned 21 last year in 2007
- Became Assistant Department Head for Tabletop Gaming at Anime Central for this year

Aaaaand I plan on moving out and going away for school in the fall. Woo!

So, what have you done with your life since you joined KMC?

A few memorable things happened ever since I registered last year:

-Obtained about three scholarships during my senior year in high school.
-Graduated in the top 15% of my senior class.
-The family cat gave birth to a litter of 4 kittens.
-Got accepted to the only college that I applied to since I'm cheap conservative with my money.
-Joined an anime club at my school.
-Got a good job at the on-campus gym.

That's all that I can think of at the moment.

When I joined KMC (July 2003), I was a sophomore at a high school in northern Indiana. I was involved in Spell Bowl and in my junior and senior years, theatre.

Now I'm a sophomore at Indiana University, studying for a BA in Political Science. I'm on the Executive Board of the IU College Democrats, I'm an Assistant Director on the Indiana Memorial Union board (running for Director in December), and founder of the IU chapter of Students for Hillary Clinton.

I finally stood up to my dad, who is a grade A jackass, in 2005, and thankfully I don't speak to him anymore. But he still has to pay for school

And as many of you know, I realized I was gay a couple months ago.

I credit all my successes in life to KMC haermm

Since I've been on KMC I moved from Alabama to South Dakota, gone through grades 6th (or was it 7th?) through 11th, took the ACT, went on like a million college visits, got a car, got a job, decided I really like oldies music. How, I've been here for like a really long time. oh

I like all kinds of music. Old music is better than modern, in most cases.

When I first joined KMC, the Matrix Reloaded came out and I was crazy about it.

Fast forward 5 years later and not so crazy about it anymore.

Awesome. That is what I am doing now. I am trying to get more of an education, better myself in the professional environment through IT certifications, become a more assertive person, and become a more patient and kind husband and father.


But....you are really young to have such a mature outlook on your personal self...very rare indeed. DK is the same way...very mature for his age.

At that time, my husband and I were ending our 14 year marriage and trying to figure out the details of how.
Later in the year I began talking to Alex (Baylin) here on KMC. Instant attraction that went way deeper VERY fast.
Come the beginning of 2005, we decide to meet and take our relationship further.
April he flew from England to Wilmington, NC and stayed with me in a room on the beach for an extended weekend.
He returned to England and we both went on with our lives best we could given the circumstances.
I got a job at a local family fun park, Jungle Rapids in June.
Had to quit that job in Sept because I had to move and had no transportation.
Sept of 2005 I flew to England and spent 9 amazing days there. Stayed with my friend who some here know as Corran.
While there I was able to visit with Alex in his neck of the woods. Still thinking we could work things out eventually.
Came back to the USA where lived with my mom for a few months before moving to New Jersey.
Lived there for a month before loneliness got the best of me and I moved back to NC in November of 2005.
December 18, 2005 Alex and I decided to end the loving relationship we had going on.
Confused and hurt for months to follow, regretfully I did things that werent me.
Began to understand things (my failed relationships) better in the summer of 2006 and started living better for myself. Had a job working for my sister tending her children.
Met one of my (now) best friends in fall of 2006 who talked me into saying hi to one of her best friends, Justin..
Said hi to him via myspace at first and between myspace and the phone we became fast best friends. Met him in person Feb 15, 2007 when he came to help our mutual friend move back to Utah while her husband was in Iraq.
Went to Vegas to visit him in April and then again in June.
Moved to Vegas in August.
Now we live in St George, Utah where I have a job at a daycare and he works here as a welder.
We are planning to get married in July this year.

seriously though...,worked a job or two, bought some toys lost alot of monsy and chances. Saw a a few good movie's and heard several fine songs. discovered some kick ass bands that i could not live without. masturbated...,ALOT. stole shit from some nice people, wrote one or two paragraphs of material that i am actually happy with, but no where near the four novels and three note books of poetry i had planned. OH, shit i ate some killer hamburgers, that was fvcking sweet. Monster burgers rule!!!!. bought a bicycle, rode it for a bit...,that was cool, i like bikes.Read some shiity fvcking comic books. bought alot of comic books. quit some jobs before i started them. Ate to many pills smoked to many cigarettes and played to many video games. Lied to alot of people about alot of trvial nonsense which hangs over my head and strains my back. Got in shape and on the right path for about 4 months. lifted some weights, tore up some plants from the vietnam that is my backyard. rotated soil and planted grass. that was a fine accomplishment, but was only destroyed by lack of care. It is now just as weed ridden and there are three trees in my little 10 by 15 patch of earth. **** those tree's are taller than my god damn house now, that was only a year ago.. . made alot of dreams, followed through on nothing.

So bascially everything that you do not want to do in life but dude, the burgers and kingdom of heaven were definitely cool.
