CHICAGO -- The principal of Spring Grove Elementary School was in a Wisconsin jail Tuesday night on charges of sexually abusing a 16-year-old girl.

Daniel Markofsky, 47, of Richmond, was caught over the weekend in Glendale, Wis., at a Super Motel 8 with two teen sisters, 15 and 16, according to police.

Police alleged Markofsky and the two girls were smoking marijuana, drinking alcohol and watching pornographic material. The sisters were from the Milwaukee area, according to police.

The Chicago Tribune reported that on Saturday a Glendale police officer knocked on the door of his room after smelling marijuana, according to the report. The report said Markofsky answered wearing a shirt and boxer shorts.

Neighbors near the school in Spring Grove were shocked by the news and feel Marckofsky should not remain as the principal.

"You wonder how long that kind of stuff has been going on with the kids," said Jamie Mason, a neighbor in Spring Grove. "I don't think any man should have the authority to be around kids when he does stuff like that."

The school did not wish to comment on the case.

A closed-door school board meeting was scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday at Nippersink School in Richmond, according the Chicago Tribune.

Sixteen's legal here, maybe he should think of relocating.

I don't see anything wrong with it. I agree there are too many sick ass people in the world, that want people to lose their jobs for trivial bullshit like that.

There is something terribly wrong when a 47 year old man wants to have sex with a 16 year old child. I hope he becomes someones butt buddy while in jail.

chillmeistergen
Probably won't go to jail.

Damn, this dude is cool as hell, wish I had role models like that in my life.

Nothing in of itself.

When you're supplying it to someone else's underage kids though, that's a problem.

We don't for a fact that he supplied it though. Plus, in my opinion, sixteen is old enough to make the decision to dabble in drug and alcohol use.

I'd really need to know the full facts before I gave a full opinion on the man though.

There is the chance that he didn't, true. But he was part of it. I did too at that age, (younger actually) but if some other adult other than my parents had been part of it, I can see why they'd be furious at the person.

Well, the hotel room (and porn) was most likely his doing, as was the alcohol.

Just because the law and you somehow decided that 16 year olds can't do that, doesn't really make it wrong if they want to, now does it? So, yeah, I would say you are quite biased towards the close minded conventional moral understanding.

Also, we have several felonies on our hands here.

1. Statutory rape.
2. Using a controlled substance.
3. Serving alcohol to minors.

All not harmful to anyone but consenting (not legal term) people or yourself, if at all.

I think the point that Robtard made is fine. He wasn't saying that all those things are factually, objectively wrong. He was simply reiterating the fact that more happened in this case than simply underage sex, since the sex was all that was being discussed.

But if so, then yes, all those acts were awesome, not just the underage sex, thank you for reminding us, Rob.

They cant exactly declare 'given consent' in a court, being that a 15 year old was involved as well. You cant just excuse the law in favor of 'personal freedoms'.

I never claimed it wasn't illegal what was going on. Just no one got harmed that didn't want it. The law is without a doubt doing more harm to the people involved than their actions did.

If a kid wants something you should just give it to them right? Regardless of age?

What's the cut off age for you? if an infant makes grabbing motions toward a bottle of alcohol, give it to them, right?

And why would you chose the age you do as the cut off point? Why not a year ealier? Why not a year later?

I'd prefer an individual basis. Or none at all.

But yeah, 15 year olds should be responsible for their own shit, really.

Yeah. Most under 60 probably. But I don't really like making intrusive laws just cause the majority of people are idiots.

Though, to be more friendly and answer the aim of your questions, I assume most under 12 have not enough understanding or interest to want that.

Easier, yes/possibly.

Right of him to do it, especially with him being in a position of power with the student-teacher dynamic (and without the parents consent), no.

Most people hit puberty at about 13 and to say they can't be responsible or control themselves within a year is like giving them the keys to the car and a box of condoms. I think people should be deemed as adults at about 14 or 15 in all seriousness but not many mommies out there want to see their 14-15 daughter getting reamed by an old man. It's all a matter of reality and when you want it to set in imo. santa
